I did it! 🥬🔵🥬

I was introduced to the Animal Crossing world just a few months ago, and when I discovered blue roses, I reaaaaally wanted one! Unfortunately, I don't have access to seeds (I haven't seen them in the shop or at Leif's yet), so 100% of my seed flowers came from Kapp'n boat tours.

I don't have the brain capacity to follow the more complicated but more efficient methods, so I just did the 4-step method. I don't remember exactly when I started, but it took 6-8 weeks or so. I also don't have any visitors who can water them.

If you want to try it yourself, here is how I did it:

You need three seed rose colors: white, red, and yellow. Roses from Kapp'n boat tours count as seed roses.

1. Pair seed whites to breed purple hybrids.

2. Pair purple hybrids with seed reds to breed pink hybrids.

3. Pair pink hybrids with seed yellows to breed red hybrids.

4. Pair red hybrids to breed orange, black, and blue hybrids.

4a. Pair red hybrids with orange and black hybrids to breed blue hybrids. Ensure the orange and black hybrids are only paired with a red so that the orange and black flowers are not touching each other.

Notes

- With one exception, always discard newly bred roses that aren't included in the steps. For example, step one produces a lot of white, but you can't use those, so you have to clean them out daily. The only daughter roses you can use are purple from step 1, pink from step 2, red from step 3, and red, orange, and black from step 4. Exception - Red hybrids in step 4 can produce more reds, and you can use those.

- If you're stuck using only boat tours to get roses, you'll probably get bottlenecked on steps two and three by having too many reds in two and too many pinks in three.

- It takes a pretty big farm - I currently have almost 300 roses with 90 white, 65 red/purple, 91 pink/yellow, and 45 red/orange/black.

Why are the animals' Nintendo Directs so much better than ours? 🤣

I would play the heck out of Gyroid Joe.

If they won't give us a new Animal Crossing at least give us that xD

Who else gave one of their wolves some sheep’s clothing?

I gave this to Kyle a while back, and I swear he wears this about half the time, and it just cracks me up.

Hybrid flowers question

Can someone explain the pansies - there’s a hybrid red that looks the same as the regular red in this pic. I also see the red outlined in white to denote it….

I have a similar question about the roses. All of the colors are accounted for but there’s two of the reds outlined in white and those together make a blue. Just want to make sure I’m not missing anything there either!

Advice appreciated!!

I had an oddly "organized" AC:NH dream 😮

I dreamed, that I was talking to my Sister about maximizing my NH "Photo collecting" efficiency.

Make an island entirely mostly of a specific animal, keep rotating them out, until I have the photo of every animal from that group. Then repeat with the next species.

But I wasn't sure whether to start with the big-number species groups like cats or rabbits (to get them out of the way) or start with the smaller ones first.

Help :(

I restarted my island earlier this year and totally forgot to tell Blathers I talked with Brewster and now I don’t have the cafe. I just finished the fossils and art collections, and have my dream villager (shout out to my girl Ketchup)… Is there anyway I can get the cafe or am I toast?

What was used to create this look?

I am trying to recreate this inspiration for Ruby’s room. I don’t know what they used around the moon to make it look like a window. Does anyone have any ideas? Ty!

edit: thank you everyone! i got it thanks to you guys!

Ahhhhh so "this" is Zen?

After all the failed attempts at spawning rocks. The mistakes I made when moving things around while forgetting to cover that other spot! Ohhh the trials and tribulations to get here... and now I sit and contemplate my life choices and reach... contentment?

Would I do it over? Probably.

Would I make the same mistakes? Probably.

Would it be worth it...?

Probably, you tell me.

Inspo for blank spaces?

Hi! Just reached a five star rating on my island 😝 but I have a lot of blank spaces so what do I do with them? I’ve got a campsite area, shopping area, two heart ponds with flowers, flower breeding area, two fountains w benches, crop/farming area and picnic area. I’m lost on what else to add but the gaps are annoying me

Finally made an Animal Crossing village after all these years, first event was the 250th 4th of July

Bob was brutally honest with me, Robin was enamored with the beauty, and Midge was more interested in doing laundry.

Circus themed villagers

Hi, I was wondering what sort of villagers would fit a circus themed island. I've only got Pietro on my list so far. I was debating whether to have Chops as my ringmaster villager or dress my character up as ringmaster.

Cast Master

Does scaring away fish via running or vaulting count against the cast master achievement? It’s something I accidentally do a lot and I wanna know if I have to be more careful

I have a bone to pick with whomever named these villigers.

They named a horse Elmer!

Some I get the humor in, an anteater named Cyrano, frogs named Prince or Jeremiah, a Koala named Sydney, a horse named Reneigh.

But you're going to name a horse after a glue?

Are there any I missed?
