What Do You Think Of Lolly's Ranger Station? 💚

This is on my overgrown, mountainous Korean forestcore island & I thought that a ranger station would be really fitting for Lolly! 😊

Let me know what you think of it all. 🌱

What Have You Found To Work For Increasing Member Retention?

Hey there, I moderate a fairly decent sized Discord server (a bit over 3.5k) that's linked in to a subreddit or near 60k members.

We've noticed over time that while the server does grow quite rapidly (we've existed for just over a year), that we're running into an issue where despite a lot of introduction posts, only a few will consistently start actively posting to the server past their introduction.

---

We are managing to maintain most of the people who are joining the server, so people leaving is not really much of an issue, but we were wondering what could be done to get people from their original introduction post to the point that they're more likely to be regularly engaging with the community?

We've read that it could possibly work to contact members who introduce themselves, but don't start interacting with the community after a few days of them joining (this would be done to ask them if there's anything in particular they're looking for in the server)

With this method however, we're not too sure how effective this would be/if it'd somehow offput some people.

On top of this, our 4 person mod team (who are all active communicators in the server), have decided to reduce the amount of personal jokes, as we don't want the server to look uninviting to newer members who may not understand certain references.

---

Any input & advice is really appreciated, thank you! 😊

Duck Themed Custom Codes 🩵

I love seeing people do custom codes of animals & these ones are so insanely cute! 😊

I'd absolutely love having some items which looked like this to place around the map (& do a little trail of ducklings with it going across a road haha).

An Announcement Regarding Jirachi, Future Events & Behaviour In This Subreddit

Hey everyone, we hope you're doing well! The team here at r/Pokopia have some announcements to make that are both in relation to the Jirachi event, alongside behaviour in the subreddit overall as of late. 🪴

Starting things off, we'd like to say that there was a topic that quite a few of you saw on the subreddit yesterday that claimed we will not be able to time travel back for the event.

This topic was removed by our team when we did see it. On discussion between both our subreddit mod team, alongside The Pokopia Research Team members in our Discord server, we currently do not believe we have enough information to determine if we are able to time travel back to the event & receive rewards, or not.

We'll be keeping watch of this & once we do know more information, we will be posting a topic to confirm if we can, or can't. 🎈

Alongside this, we need to send a general reminder that we still do have spoilers in place in our community. This currently covers:

🌻 What happened to the humans

🌻 Current events (such as the event for this month)

To be blunt with you all, spoiler tags have not been getting properly used in regards to this event & we will both be updating our automod to combat this, alongside removing any topic from now on that gives spoilers on the current event until further notice.

This will be our system for future events in the upcoming months, alongside requiring spoiler tags for the DLC once we're closer to getting it. ✨

On top of this, our team here would like to ask for your assistance regarding posts that do not use spoiler tags where required.

If you see a topic involving the current event, or topics spoiling what happened to the humans, please let us know by using the custom report option & selecting the 'No Spoilers' option.

We are a small team for the size of this community, but we will see this in our mod queue & deal with it once seen. 😊

Finally, our team here at r/Pokopia would like to address a couple of things regarding certain members behaviour:

🍃 1. We've been dealing with people reporting topics for apparently being spoilers, when they're not (in terms of what this subreddit considers spoilers).

Someone getting Empoleon is not a spoiler. Raikou appearing is not a spoiler & anything outside of the new event, or the endgame storyline involving humans is not a spoiler.

🍃 2. While most of you reading this are respectful of others here & treat others in a decent way, we've unfortunately been seeing some behaviour from a small amount of people that doesn't fit the criteria set by our 'Basic Respect Is Required' rule.

Our team are going to make it perfectly clear with every one of you reading this:

We will not tolerate people hurling insults at others in this community, or snarky, degrading & condescending comments. This will lead to you receiving a temporary ban from this subreddit, with it becoming permanent if the behaviour continues.

Our team wants this place to be a welcoming, inclusive & enjoyable place to be & we want you all to feel that way when you visit r/Pokopia. 🌱

Thanks for reading through this announcement & we hope you're all looking forward to the new DLC in August, alongside having fun with the current event that's happening! 🩵

What Option Are You Picking?

I have a feeling that quite a lot of people will go for the "Yes, please." option, but I always end up saying no. 😅

I do wish I could not have to tell Brewster "Ew, no." though lol.

Static's Space Mission (& Plant Research Zone)

I thought this was a really cool idea (& I had a suggestion for a futuristic style design). 😊

It's my first time doing anything vaguely sci-fi I think, so let me know what you think of the design! 🩵

Raymond's Probably Used To It Now 😂 [Credit: lambsauceowo]

Credit to @lambsauceowo for creating this. 😊 It'd have happened so much to poor Raymond back in the early days of the game haha.

I Wish We Could Get Fog All Year (& Select It On HHP)

This has got to be one of my favourite weather events in-game (next to thunder) & I so wish we could get fog all year round in-game.

I'd love to be able to set up a dream address any time of year with it, or select it on the exterior of some HHP designs. 😊

Camper Van Cutout Standees 🩵

I found these recently & they're too good not to share. 😊 It makes me wish we had actually camper vans in-game haha.

Who Was Your First Hotel Guest?

I saw this photo while I was looking for some in-game designs & thought it'd be interesting to see who everyone got as their first hotel guest! 😊

I vaguely remember hearing that people seemed to be getting lazy villagers, although I'm not sure if the first guest is always a lazy.

Let me know who your first guest was! (& feel free to show the room design too if you'd like!) 🩵

What Do You Think Of Blaire's Pottery Workshop? 💚

She's a little favourite of mine & I was so excited to get her on my Asian island last year! 😊 I had her 20+ years back & it was so nice to get her again. ✨

Let me know what you think of her interior!

Probably My Favourite Area On My Korean Forestcore Island 💚

I was looking through some photos of the island & I just absolutely love this one. 😊 It's crazy to think it's been over a year since I started the island haha.
