I miscalculated 😭

I was so close to doing this 😭 I'm in year one autumn and I miscalculated by 151. I should have added in more of a buffer, but I'm in an awkward spot with a bunch of different ranks for the same items so I could only fit so much. I'm so mad at myself!

Can you take your time with the main plot?

It is only first of Fall now and the game actually has been going faster than I expected. I won all the beginner festivals (even the cooking just by submitting tomato juice). Already got Komari's Green flower event where she gets sick (though I did choose a personality that gave me more FP at start of game). It seems that at this point I will actually be in a relationship with her unlike older games where it only started after marriage. In the mean time, I haven't heard much from the dad, though it seems I need to ship three kinds of crops. And after own two cows (though my barn is full since I got all the four wool producing animals to make clothes). The third challange to expand the house is mandatory to marry Komari. So at least up to that I can live without much thought to it. Can you actually postpone the main goal till later or even narry and have a kid before the final challenge from the dad?

Can someone recommend a game on switch for me?

Hi everyone like the title says I’m looking for a game which has romance and marriage options. I’ve played all the SoS games, coral island on steam. Loved them all. I don’t like pixel art games. Any recommendations for switch 1 or 2? Thanks in advance

STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar - basement use question

I finally got the basement update and put the Spring Sun Stone in place and now I can't figure out how to remove it. I made the Fall Sun Stone and want to only grow fall tea leaves for the tea tins. When growing the tea leaves is keeps making a mix of both and I'm so annoyed and sad!!! Is there anyway to remove the Spring Stone or no?? Thanks for any help 🙏

Remakes and What’s next

I would love a remaster or faithful remake of Harvest Moon Animal Parade with updated loading times and graphics. The storyline is my favorite, but the slow loading and how long it takes to go to the different area’s bogs down gameplay.

I wouldn’t want them to remove the rival marriages because seeing other couples and children made the game feel so much more alive. The Bar is also something I hope they won’t change in the future. I love the mechanic of being able to ride all the animals, and the horse model is my all time favorite from all their games that I’ve played. I’d hate to get the wonky horses like the current games we have when the horses are peak in Animal Parade!

For what I would love to see changed, as mentioned above loading times, and graphics. Updated character models, with customization for the player character. More clothing options for the player character and for the non player characters. Adding the color variations and more animals with the variations like in grand bazaar would be perfect! (More duck and chicken species too, or at least the colorations to make them look like different kinds) Adding more space on the farm to be able to house and care for more animals.

Perhaps some more events could be added to interact with the community and the sprites.

Being able to have more pets? Yes please! XD To be fair I just want all the animals I could possibly have in the game.

Animal Parade is such a nostalgic game for me, so much is amazing and they could also improve some aspects as well. My biggest fear for if they did remake it, is that all the love might be taken away and the charm of the original designs of the characters to look like the current models they have. (Not horrible, just prefer the uniqueness of the Wii Tree of Tranquility and Animal parade games)

What do you guys think? I’d love to know your thoughts and have a discussion.

How is each bachelorette after marriage?

I've read there is lot of dialogue after marriage. I've settled on Komari. Though how is each bachelorrte after marriage personality wise? I do like Komari's persona and would not want it to change (since her events seem to be about wanting to be more ladylike). How is each after marriage?

Rant about Grand Bazaar

Hi All, I'm ~20 hours in and is in the first week of Summer and I just want to fume about how when you're doing anything transactional, the game does not take into account how much of the item I have already, unless its in my bag,

Ie. if you have 20 melon seeds in the storage. but NOT in your bag, the game will tell you have 0 seed; If you are cooking, you must have the ingredients in your bag.

This is beyond stupid. Friends of mineral town in 2000s GBA has this feature. It's essential for a game that emphasises heavily on storage management.

Please tell me I'm missing something like a settings or something, because it's only going to get worse as I'm upgrading Ivy and has different levels of items every 2 3 days and it's too difficult to manage things.

Does the legendary treasure chest show up during regular (not heavy) rain?

Title. I need one (1) more treasure chest to make the summer stone. I caught the last one in heavy rain without any issues. I'm trying to catch the final one in regular rain. I keep reloading my save to try and no dice.

Starting to wonder if the chest only appears on heavy/stormy weather. All the guides I found say regular rain works too. Has anyone managed to catch one in that weather condition?

Snowy night in this game is so serene and relaxing.

I recently decided to replay the game. Back when the OG came and then the remake, I always stopped playing when my game gets into 2nd chapter. So this time I’m going to try to finish it all for once. Frankly speaking AWL is one of my least favourite game in the franchise (not that I hate it though) but I can’t deny that this game has the best sceneries and everything about it is just beautiful. So I decided to put other games that I play on hold, took a deep breath and ready to embrace AWL once again and intend to finish it. (So far the game does grew on me more)

If any of you remember my last year’s post on this sub, about my mom’s passed away before she got to watch me play Grand Bazaar, I really want to thank you all for your nice and encouraging replies. I may not reply to your comments back then, but I do read it all and I really appreciate it.

Being a 35 years old guy, this probably sounds weird to most people but my mom was my safe place since I was a child, and this franchise is ALSO my safest place. Since her death, I’ve been coping myself into playing and got my thoughts lost into these games (playing GB that time). So far I really had a lot of fun replaying AWL remake, it was such a shame I never give it a chance back then lol.

Other than that I’m really glad to be in this sub, where I can see other people sharing their experiences with this franchise. Thanks for reading and ILY all 🙌

When is Kasumi available?

I can now visit all three towns as of Summer 5. However, Kasumi does not appear at all. It seems she has an irregualr schedule going by guides yet even when I visit very early or late she is nowhere to be seen. Even Tuesday which seems to be her day off I could not find her at all. Where is she exactly and how can you meet her?

Gemstone request from Isaac - is the reward worth it?

What is this blue thing that you get as a reward? I am not keen on giving Isaac FIVE quality gemstones that I normally use for jewelry if the reward isn't nice!

No rain until Spring 28

Didn't know this was even possible. Caused a drought by watering my crops and bathing twice a day

Married life with Kasumi?

I've been uncertain whether to marry Kasumi or Komari for first time playing. While I like Komari's persona, I found Kasumi more relatable (not in the exact same way). So I had kind of settled down for Kasumi. However, on research, it seems even after marriage she will be out of town for most the time, with no ability to at least speak with her while she works. While I like having my wife not juat stay home all the time, I still would like to be able to see her. Is she going to be abscent most of the time? In which case, I might go for Komari who continues running the teahouse while I can still talk with her.

What do you put on your bazaars?

Hello!

I am playing SoS: Grand Bazaar, as my first story of seasons game.

I really like it so far.

I am on year 2 Spring

But i need some ideas on what to put on my bazaar. I of course try to put as much popular items as possible. But then what else?

Should i focus on something specific? Should i just put expensive items? And if yes, which are the most profitable?

I would really appreciate any kind of tips, even if other than those things, i mentioned.

I appreciate any kind of help anyways. Thanks so much :)

Got Grand Bazaar from the library

The only other harvest moon game I’d ever personally played was Tale of Two Towns on my DS and I really enjoyed it but was a kid and never finished. I saw Grand Bazaar at the library and decided to get it and give it a try, no harm done not like I’m paying for anything.

Oh my god I’m having so much fun! I love the mountains and the town, the map is so interesting after playing so many gridded maps/games. It’s so satisfying to work towards the bazaar on Saturday, and so far the pacing is really nice.

This game isn’t getting crazy hype that I’ve seen (unlike Tomodachi Life, for example, though that’s a completely different genre of game) but I’ve been really enjoying and will definitely have to buy after returning it to the library lol. Anyone else in love w the game?
