Considering trading Omega SMP for Tudor BB58 GMT

I've had the newer Omega SMP for a few years now that I added a Railmaster bracelet to, and while I love it overall, I do find it a big too big and too modern. The ceramic bezel and dial are great for durability, but at the same time they don't ever get that age or patina. I'd like to eventually pass it down to my kids and have it show some history.

The Rolex 6542 is my favorite watch ever, and the BB58 GMT is pretty close in dimensions and aesthetics to it. But I absolutely HATE the snowflake hands, and I don't see myself ever liking them. I've done some watch work and I'd probably swap them out for the more vintage Mercedes GMT hands.

Should I just stick with the SMP or switch to a Tudor? A Rolex isn't in my wheelhouse (plus I don't like the AD/gray market shenanigans) and I only would want one dedicated daily driver.

Post sample building SG543 and SG542?

Recently received my 07 FFL and will be applying for my SOT soon.

I've got an SG543 and SG542 kit. I live in a ban state, so as semi-autos they can only be possessed by an FFL, effectively like an post-sample MG.

I'm considering just building them as post-samples since I will be in a ban-state for the foreseeable future, and the fire control groups wouldn't need to be modified.

The local ranges do not allow full-auto, but I have a 9 acre wooded property I can shoot on, though I have neighbors around it that I don't want to piss off by shooting without a suppressor. I definitely wouldn't bother putting a can on these because they are niche rifles.

Is it a better idea to build them as semi-autos or post samples if I don't intend on moving or giving up my 07 anytime soon?
