Apartments along the Blue line stop.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for apartment suggestions in Chicago, preferably somewhere along the Blue Line.

My husband commutes to Resurrection Medical Center, and I need to commute either to Clybourn Metra Station or Bucktown. Since he does not drive, we are trying to find a location where public transit works well for both of us. Right now, we live near the Bryn Mawr station in Edgewater, and I really like the neighborhood feel here. However, his commute to Resurrection Medical Center is around 1.5 hours, which is too long.

We are looking for a 1-bedroom apartment with a budget around $1,500/month. Ideally, we would like:

- Close access to the Blue Line or reliable public transit

- His commute to Resurrection Medical Center to be within 30 minutes

- My commute to Clybourn Metra or Bucktown to be around 45 minutes or less

- Nearby grocery options like Aldi or similar

- Close to LA Fitness or another decent gym

- A neighborhood feel, not too isolated

I was thinking near the Cumberland Blue Line stop could be one option, but I’m not very familiar with that area. Would Cumberland, Harlem, Jefferson Park, Portage Park, Irving Park, or any other nearby neighborhoods make sense for our situation?

Any suggestions for neighborhoods, apartment buildings, or areas to avoid would be very helpful. Thank you!
