AITJ for sending my girlfriend to jail?

I was investigating a group of four criminals, one of whom fell in love with me. I normally try to arrest criminals, but these people offered a lot of money if I were to help them. I was willing. However, it turned out that the item they were trying to steal was worth way less money than they thought. Because of this, they ended up paying me one tenth of the promised price. This upset me, so I turned on them and called the police on their leader. Later, I learned that the one I started sleeping with killed the original investigator of this case, so I turned her in as well. When I confronted her, she tried making a bs argument about how if I really loved her I wouldn’t do this. Should I have gone easy on her since we were in a relationship?

AITJ for lying to the police? (TV Show, spoiler warning)

I was traveling home one day when I came across a murder. He himself had killed somebody in the past, and a group of that person’s friends worked together to take this guy out. When I confronted the group, they acted like the murder was justified. I did not agree, but eventually I caved. When the police arrived, I made up a convincing lie. I feel guilty about this. I know God is mad at me. Have I sinned, people of Reddit?

AITJ for having a double standard for who can be my successor?

So, I am the head of a charity organization that delivers food to children around the world. The plan was for my son to become head of the organization when I die, but he does not want that; he’d rather be a musician. Upon learning this, my second in command asked if he could succeed me instead. I denied this offer, as he lacked certain physical characteristics that I deemed necessary for the job. Later, my son changed his mind about being head of the company, but he would only take the job if his friend became co-owner. This friend of his also lacked certain physical characteristics that I deemed necessary for the job, but I allowed him and my son to be co-owners anyway. Am I a jerk for this?

AITJ for trying to steal a weapon from my coworker?

I (41 m) am part of a 9-man stealth group put together for a single mission: To deactivate a powerful weapon belonging to the opposite side of the war. We have this weapon with us - another member of our group (51 m) volunteered to be the one to carry it - but in order to actually deactivate it, we need to take it to the place it was created, which is in enemy territory. I think this is a stupid plan, so when I got the chance, I talked to the weapon’s carrier alone, proposing an alternate plan: We use the weapon ourselves against the enemy. For some reason, he didn’t like this, so I tried to take the weapon from him by force; he ran away, and I haven’t seen him since. Am I a jerk for trying to steal the weapon?

AITJ for inventing a product that’s bad on purpose?

I own the largest supply of my species’ equivalent of water. Recently, a trend has popped up where people are inventing supposedly healthier alternatives to this liquid. This threatens to put me out of business. I know this sounds greedy, but get this: 100% of my employees are disabled. I am disabled myself, though I hide this from the public. If I go out of business, my employees will have no where else to go, as no other company will hire them. So I came up with a plan. I invented one of these “healthier alternatives” and made it bad on purpose, so bad that consuming it can cause major injuries and even death. After multiple famous people were injured shortly after drinking this new liquid, the general consensus of alternate liquids became negative. Unfortunately, a couple of MI6 agents found out this plot and now I’m in jail. Am I a jerk for doing this?

AITJ for not telling my ex-coworker I have a twin brother?

I have a twin brother. Nobody knows I do, not even my wife and daughter. Sometimes, I have him go to work in my place. Unfortunately, he went on the day my coworker’s wife died there. He blames me but is willing to forgive if I answer one clarifying question. Unfortunately, I was not there, so I don’t know the answer to the question he asked. We now both have different jobs, and have grown more hostile. Am I the jerk for not simply admitting that I have a twin who went to work instead of me, thus clarifying things?

AITJ for making my principal think her brother was haunting her?

I (6.5 F) had just started attending school. My teacher (21 F) was extremely nice to me and all the other students. Unfortunately, her aunt (48 F), who also happens to be the principal, is the complete opposite. She regularly abused the students in horrible ways. One day, I learned that my teacher's father (and the principal's brother) supposedly killed himself. Without any actual proof, I assumed it was actually the principal who killed him. Surprisingly, my teacher agreed. So, while the principal was in class, I wrote something on the chalkboard making it look like her brother was talking to her, telling her to leave town and give her house to her niece. She believed this, and now my teacher and I live in her aunt's old house. (She also adopted me) Am I a jerk for doing this?
