I wanna get into property management for my family’s properties, and they’ve been encouraging me to do so. I was looking online on how that works, and saw that I need to have a real estate license and be under a brokerage. I really have no clue how brokerages work, like can I just hang my license under one and work for my family exclusively? I’m also in California if that matters at all.

If not, what kind of property management stuff can I do without a being apart of a brokerage? Since I’d still like to help my family out however I can.
