Have Space Marines ever tried to talk things out ?

You all remember that time when a DA strike team sneaked into the Imperial Palace to retrieve the captured Cypher, got caught by a Shadowkeeper who proceeded to kill half of the team before being put down by a DA elite librarian

It made me wonder if they could have tried to talk it out before things went to shit

What happened to the millions (maybe billions) of worlds the Eldar and Necrons had ?

At their peak it is said the Infinite Empire controlled billions of worlds, The Eldar Empire was also numbered in the millions of planets

I understand a really good chunk of them were obliterated during the War In Heaven, plus the core worlds of the Eldar Empire were destroyed during the Birth of Slaanesh and the passing of time severely weakened several Necron Worlds, in more ways than one

The Silent King went to explore the galaxy shortly after the Great Sleep and all he found were Tyranids so there's that

That still leaves an enormous amount of Tomb Worlds and Eldar Worlds, I guess most of the Eldar abandoned these planets and went to the Craftworlds, later being repopulated by the Imperium

What happened with the surviving Loyalist ships after the Solar War ?

After 4 days of fighting all over the Solar System against multiple Traitor fleets, the loyalists under orders of Dorn were forced to retreat and scatter

I think Phalanx and a few hundred warships hid around Saturn's Rings and waited until the siege ended and the Ultramarines arrive, which now that I think about it had they coordinated better they could had catch even more fleeing traitors but fine

What about the ships that docked on Terra, the book only mentions that Horus spent over a month on Terra's orbit facing the throneworld defenses until they broke through, I assume these remnants fought to the last man during these period, what couldn't be used for battle was scrapped for guns and personnel

No mention of these ships during the Dark Angels incursion either, Khan later uses the heavy guns of an orbital spaceport to cut to pieces the traitor fleet in orbit

What is a 40k mistery that you WOULD like to be expanded upon

There are certain mysteries like the missing Primarchs, the Rangdan Xenocides, Subject #696, the Halo Stars or Ghoul Stars that are good enough as they are

But there must be one that you think it could use some more info, maybe the Dark Cells, the Deep Warp, the Veiled Regions etc...

If done well though, we dont want another Terminus Decree fiasco

Which 40k faction would collapse on itself the fastest if their leader disappears ?

If for some reason, Guilliman, Ghazghkull, Vect, The Silent King, The Ethereals and Abaddon disappeared out of thin ain.

I would say the Drukhari, but then again Vect probably has some dozen back up plans

During the Plague Wars Ku'gath had this sideplot making the disease, added the blood of Guilliman and it was said to be potent enough to kill a Primarch

Blah blah blah Mortarion fights Guilliman and injects him with it. On the brink of death the Emperor saves the Avenging Son and sets Nurgle's garden on fire

Now, is there any Godblight left, or was all of it injected to Guilliman ? Is there any more blood so that Ku'gath could make some more ?

Most accounts of the war recall endless hordes of lesser daemons, some separate daemonic entities like Drach'nyen and many traitor space marines sent by Lorgar

I cant recall any mention of Bloodthirsters, Keepers of Secrets or Changers of Ways

Vulkan permakills a Great Unclean One from the inside out later on his journey to Terra
