After more escaping, I watched her start doing a strange digging motion with her hind legs, and after quick research it is unmistakable that she is gravid. Explains her not eating or basking at all lately, and her otherworldly desire to escape. I made this nesting box, time to leave her for a few hours to do her thing. (I turned the lights off after this picture).
Just finished an internship at a small firm, hired by someone who I have a loose personal connection with. All summer I did admin things like getting coffee and fixing furniture. I did not even have AutoCAD on my computer. Spent many hours twiddling my thumbs.
The summer finished and I immediately applied to a large national firm (the firm most frequently talked about on here… as a hint 😁) and I was interviewed and accepted an offer.
The CEO of the small firm called me personally, to tell me that I was hired because of his name on my resume, not my interview, and told me I played him after “begging” him for an internship. I was extremely taken back by something so wildly unprofessional and unexpected. Should I have done something different here?
She’s happy as can be basking and running around, water is relatively clean. Her shell looks pretty dry to me, and there are a bunch of ridges at the base of the scutes. UVB and heat lamp are on and she basks a healthy amount. Am I just seeing things?
