So I was just scrolling on facebook and I saw a post of someone complaining that they have a card-operated electricity box in their rented apartment, and it is overcharging them for electricity. The comments all said that it's illegal here.

Now I also have an electricity box, I pay the owner and they give me the card. Now with excessive AC use in the summer heat €100 credit can get to zero in less than a month. My apartment is a studio btw, so quite small. I wasn't aware that these are illegal, and as the owners and the apartment are very nice, I wasn't questioning it until now. But I start to feel like I'm probably overspending on electricity, because 100 in less than a month feels insane, even considering the AC.

What can I do? I don't want to have bad blood with the owners, and I definitely don't want to move to somewhere else, because I like living here. But money is money. Shall I report it? Or should I just suck it up, because I would have to move if I report?

So I am in the preparation stage for a small home baking business, and I planned out most things, but there might be some holes. I have researched the local regulations, so I am not asking about the legal side of things. The idea is that I would supply to small coffee shops, I don't want to sell to individual customers, for the time being at least. I would focus on muffins, sweet and savoury. It would be a side job, I am a freelancer already in a different field, so making a huge profit is not the goal.

What would be the practicalities of a business like this? Would I have to deliver a fresh batch every morning, or let's say every other day? What's the best way to approach coffee shops, considering that they already have their suppliers for baked goods? How could I make this efficient (eg. freezing the batter in advance)? Is there anything that I might not think about? I am open to any advice/tips. :)
