dog with mmm odd jaw movements
my 6 year old mutt has masticatory muscle myositis, an inflammatory condition. he's been on cyclosporine for 4 years. his jaw can be opened freely (not possible with a flare up, and was like that a few weeks ago) but is on steroids currently. the vet that luckily caught the MMM early years ago upped his dosage of steroids and cyclosporine for the time being, but isn't convinced this particular thing is part of his MMM. she thinks it may be his stomach acid or something else. (he is also on Omeprazole and gabapentin for now.) any other thoughts?
