A Duplex I own has a 3 ton AC unit cooling both sides/the whole house. I got a quote to have another AC unit installed and wired to the Tenets Electric Meter and set up so they have their own AC and I pay for my own separately. Is this quote a good deal or is it overly high? The HVAC tech said the 3 ton ac unit was too big for my side of the duplex which is around 860 square ft as well as the tenets. So they need to replace that AC unit and add two 1.5 ton AC Units.
