Hi everyone! I recently received an Excellence Award for Task 2 of the MBA Capstone, and all 3 of my capstone tasks passed on the first attempt.

I’m a little confused about the difference between a regular Excellence Award and the Capstone Excellence Award (CEA). If a student is nominated/recognized for Task 2 of the MBA Capstone, can that alone qualify for the official CEA? Or do multiple capstone tasks usually need to receive Capstone Excellence Awards?

Also, Task 1 was evaluated first, followed by Task 2 and Task 3, but I only received an award email for Task 2 today. Does WGU sometimes send Excellence Award emails later regardless of the order the tasks were evaluated?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has received a CEA before. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’ll be attending the WGU Seattle commencement this year and I’m honestly really excited since earning a master’s degree has always been a dream of mine.
A few questions for those who already attended:

- Which ceremony time would you recommend most, and which one usually has fewer people?
- How do they decide seating? Is there any way to get seats closer to the front?
- How do they call names on stage? Is it alphabetical, by seating row, check-in order, or first come first serve?
- Do they provide professional photographers, and how do you get the photos afterward?
- Are we allowed to wear the NSLS medallion, and honest opinion… does it look okay or kinda corny? 😅

I’m starting my MBA Capstone, and this is my final class. I want to put everything I’ve learned into this last course and finish at the highest level possible.

I’ve heard people mention “excellence awards” or special recognitions related to the capstone, but I can’t find a clear explanation of what they are or what the criteria might be.

For anyone who has completed the MBA Capstone:

• What excellence awards or distinctions actually exist
• What the requirements or criteria are
• Whether they’re based on the simulation, the written report, evaluator scoring, or something else

I want to understand what I can aim for before I begin. Any insight would be appreciated.
