Is MBA in Healthcare Management Still Offered?

I could be looking in the wrong place, but I’m only seeing MHA and MBA in Healthcare Administration on WGU’s website. Is the MBA in Healthcare Management degree still offered?

Thanks in advance!!!

Feeling lost C204

I am coming into my MBA with no prior business examples.
I am feeling confused by this assignment as it feels very make believe and not concrete.

I feel like the only way to pass this course is to use AI so I can ask them about what the difference is between a blog, informational email for stakeholders, vs someone in a different country etc. What are appropriate templates or key components? Telling me to watch my tone or other common sense factors isn’t helping me.

What am I missing? How do I complete this course?
The course doesn’t have any video recordings with the exception of how to utilize their PowerPoint platform for Task 2. Do I use AI?

I am really bummed as this course is super important, but I can’t even complete task 1 because I do not know what I am doing.

My turn! Got the confetti today!

Did it in 108 days. Started 5/1 of this year. It was fun program and I learned a good bit. I worked full time the whole time. If i can do it, so can you!

1 Year, 6mos, 15 days

I completed my BSHA with WGU (33 courses total, only transferred 2 courses in) and my MBA in this timeframe. I still can't believe it, honestly. This journey has taught me so much about myself and I'm super grateful for the opportunity. My experience throughout was nothing short of great. My mentor was amazing and I don't think I would have been able to move as quickly if she didn't fully support my goals. Having a great program mentor does make a difference. Also, this group definitely provided good information! Thank you guys!

I’m owl done!

Capstone task 3 completed Friday night! As a lurker, thank you to everyone who posted tips, study guides and encouragement, it really helped me. It’s a challenge especially if you don’t have a business background but doing a little bit each day helps so much in the long run. I think the cohorts and videos were very worthwhile. Doctorate up next. Now I wait for my confetti and figure out what to do now that I’m not studying or procrastinating. Does anyone know if tier 1 can approve graduation? I reached out to them since it looks like my mentor is out of office this week.

Badge and Signature Abbreviation

Hi! I just finished the MBA in Healthcare Administration program! My question is if I am supposed to write MBA or MBA-HA for my credentials in my email signature and for my new work badge? I want to show off my concentration in HA but I also read people usually just have MBA.

I work in the clinical setting in a hospital if that helps!

Let me know your thoughts!

WGU BSHA -> MBA HA

Currently on Sophia. Finished 10 courses in two weeks, have 7 left. Hope to be done by Sept 1, to enroll in WGU for Oct or even Nov start. I am doing the Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration and will have 15 courses left through WGU. Should I sign up for all 15 in one term? Is this do-able? Is it much more difficult than Sophia? Also plan on going right into Masters of Business Administration Healthcare Administration after the BSHA. Is this possible in 1 term as well? I feel like if I can do 17 courses of Sophia in 1 month I should be able to do 15 courses on WGU in 6 months. Please tell me if I’m wrong or on the right path.

C211 finally passed! MBA is done!

It took me three attempts but I finally passed! I did not have a great experience with the instructor group and felt that the resources weren’t the best. What finally worked for me was a suggestion from one of the academic coaches to use Google Notebook to create practice resources. I added in my practice tests, quizzes, and study guides and built podcasts and quizzes. The podcasts were a life saver. I have a commute to work and back and it is hard for me to make time to study out of the book with my work schedule and home schedule so I would listen the these hour long podcasts to focus on each competency and it really helped for everything to make sense as it created a lot of scenarios that explained the topics well.

C215

I am struggling with this course, more than I care to admit. I keep coming back to it and finding that I never retain anything… I really want to just get this one over with. I flew through c207 this weekend just to get some momentum again. Coming back to c215 makes me feel like graduating is out of the question at this point 🥲

Please send me your pointers… I have never struggled with a class like this before, it’s got me so nervous 😬

Passed C214-First try!

I’m honestly pretty shocked because I felt pretty confused during the exam. I wish I would’ve taken it a lot sooner😭 I definitely push this class due to anxiety, but it was really easy. I didn’t read the book at all… I simply watched the BootCamp video and took the POA once. Since I passed with exemplary I decided to schedule the OA right away!

My tip is to watch the Boot Camp video while completing the practice assessment. It’ll give you good direction and opportunity to practice the Excel problems.

I’m going to try and keep this momentum going and move onto the next class!!

First time feeling truly proud of myself in a really long time

Little over a year ago I was at an all time low. I barely graduated with a bachelor’s in integrated studies. I had spent the last few years depressed, directionless, and failing repeatedly. I hadn’t lived up to any expectations I had for myself and felt completely worthless.

I remember sitting in the back of the auditorium of my commencement trying to hold it together. Everyone I loved was watching me from the stands and I just felt like I had disappointed each one of them. I genuinely wished I was dead in that moment.

I barely remember what was said but I remember the guest speaker giving the only bits of comfort or consolation that entire day. It was an incredible story of failing again and again and it didn’t end with a miraculous success story. It was just about getting back up and getting a little better each time.

I spent a few months applying to jobs with no success before starting this program in September. It really felt like this was the last opportunity for me to show myself I’m capable of succeeding academically. I had a chip on my shoulder and spent way too much time studying for each class. I worked 50 hours a week and studied till 11 every night and usually a solid 8 hours a day on weekends. I genuinely got annoyed when my Econ score was competent instead of exemplary lol.

Anyone who feels burnt out or discouraged just keep chugging away. If I can do it, literally anyone can. If it takes a year, who cares? Just keep going and grind it out.

And thank you to everyone here whose own milestones served as motivation. Getting to see all your accomplishments really did drive me to finish and do the best job I could.

1st OA w ProctorU - Going to Try to Test on my Balcony

Wondering from all the 🦉 🦉 if anyone has had success with sitting for an OA exam in an unconventional space or room, i.e. Balcony, Bathroom or Closet.

Appreciate advice as I sit for the Practice Test this weekend w/ ProctorU.

Also any advice regarding Guardian Browser? I did a system check and it's all set.

I always thought my bachelors would be the end of my education. Five minutes ago I finished my masters. 🎉🥳👏

I was pushed to do a masters due to my goals of promoting in my department as well as an education pay raise based on degree level.

Today, five minutes ago, I passed my c207 exam. That’s it. It’s all done. One term. 20 days early. Two months off in the middle to reset and compose myself after failing my first OA (211).

You can do it. I’m single no kids BUT i work on average 60 hours a week on third shift. Normally 11pm to 11am shift. I spend two hours a day at the gym working out. I honesty did most of my studying at the library on my weekends. I still saw friends and family. It worked out.

I wasn’t the smartest guy in college. Averaged a 3.1 in undergrad studying political science. This MBA made me realize I wasn’t dumb, I just didn’t know how to study and didn’t honestly have that PUSH I needed.

I’m thankful for this community. Reddit step bros/sis’ thank you all. Everyone’s insight, tips, and genuine honesty helped me get through this in one term.

Bless you all.

Math.. can I do it?

Hello all!
I have been between an MPA or MBA for a long time. For the cost of WGU, I feel like it is my best step forward to pursue the MBA.

My concern is with math. I have always taken the least amount I can, and always struggled with math classes others have found easy.
I’ve been out of college for 12 years and I’m really concerned about the math in this program.

Wondering if anyone has any advice or experience feeling the same, and if so, how you overcame it. 🥺
Thank you!

TLDR: Can I make it through math in this program if I have always been horrible at it?
