Role Playing as a Celtic scout

(Please delete if this post is not allowed)

I know we are in for a long drawn out summer and I know we all have a shopping list of players that we would like Celtic to go after.

However I'm also aware that our board will do everything they can to penny pinch and we will likely not get the calibre of player we want, so I gave myself a task this season to track players that could be got for affordable prices.

Not sure if any of these players are on Celtics radar or if we could get them, but if we got any of the following I think they would be great transfers for now and the future. Transfer fees are taken from transfer market/fotmob.

This is simply Just to show that even if you are penny pinching there is some great talent. Mostly all players have EXCELLENT game stats, G/A just given for ease of viewing

Also as a comparison nearly all of them have better stats than Yang/tounetki etc had when we bought them.

Players

- Pablo Pagis (23) - AM/LW - 10G, 5A for FC Lorient - €6-9m

- Juho Kilo (23) - DM - 4G, 8A for ADO Den Haag - €800k-1.5m

- Dion Beljo (24) - ST - 38G, 6A for Dinamo Zagreb - €4-7m (didn't make it in the German top flight, went to Zagreb, and is banging them in)

- Gabriel Vidović (22) - LW - 7G, 4A in 25 games for Zagreb - €2m

- Jasper Hartog (20) - RW - 8G, 3A for Jong AZ Alkmaar - €500k-1m

- Clayton Taylor (22) or Eli Adams (24) from Newcastle Jets - 13 G/A each in 20 games. Or even Xavier Bertoncello (20) with 9 G/A in ~800 minutes

- Tobias Bech (24) - RW - 13G, 4A for AGF - €3m

- Luka Jovanović (21) - ST - 11G, 3A in 20 games - €800k-1m

- Devin Haen (21) - ST - 18G, 4A for Willem II - €1-2m

- Julian Hall (18) - ST/LW - 9G, 2A in 14 games for Red Bull New York (MLS)

So there really is no excuse for last minute free transfers or loans. I'm nowhere near being an actual scout and I have stayed way under what we would WANT Celtic to pay for players and I still have a full list of 40 or so players from across the world. Surely Celtic can do that and more!!!

Really hoping for a good window.

Osmand

Just realised osmand also played in Iheanacho for his chance that hit the post.

So in 27ish minutes, he basically could have 3 assists (daizen, nacho and that backheel for Nygren) and scored a goal.

Some going for his first game back after 6 months. Also Add in to that his goal against rangers and he has really shown so much in such a short time. Bags of potential

(I am aware we don't have a large sample size, just pointing out what I have seen so far)

Tommorow's Game

I'm ready for the downvotes and name calling if it occurs (hopefully not tho 😂).

However, is anyone else in a state of calm for tomorrow (Qué Sera, Sera etc)? For rangers and Motherwell games I was nearly sick for days leading up to it, but I don't feel the same at all for tomorrow.

Obviously I will be heartbroken and staying away from social media if we don't get it across the line, but the fact we are even in this position didn't seem possible to me at all a month or two ago, and even entering the split with the fact we needed to win every game and needed other results to go our way.

We have had a horrible season, 4 managers (O'Neil twice), fractures between fans and board, sold like 60 G/A without bringing anyone in (unjustifiably I may add) and everything else that's gone on.

If hearts do the job tommorow, they deserve it. (Hope McInnes gets the flu and can't go to the parade though)

If we do the job, it'll be the best title I can remember in 28 years, and Monday and Tuesday will be getting booked off work 😂

Big big possibility this is just cope, but part of me is like "we don't DESERVE to win the league every year" so if hearts beat us to it during one of our worst years, then they deserve it.

Couldn't give a F*** about all this "good for the league" shit, just on a pure sporting level and holding ourselves to a higher "non entitled" standard than the rest.

All that being said. No excuses at all, we have more than enough to win, Mon the Celtic. ☘️ 3-1 win,

Fair play to sfa

Well done SFA.

We all know you helped us win tonight.

That thing you did, yano, waiting for the 95th minute, giving us a throw in, then hypnotising the well player to people's elbow trusty and handball it.

Just such a great help, thanks.

P.s How come if a keeper dives for a ball and misses it and slightly touches a striker's foot it's a penalty. But the keeper tonight was allowed to flying knee daizen in the back and not get anywhere near the ball 😂

Does anyone remember the penalty we conceded from scales shoulder, or the Hibs player handling it and we were told to "trust the officials"

GIRFUY ☘️ ONTO SATURDAY

Has anyone been watching the A League this season? The Newcastle Jets have been a fantastic watch with some interesting players. With my standouts being

Eli Adams

Clayton Taylor

Xavier Bertoncello

Lachlan Bayliss

First year head coach too. The team finished 9th last season and within the year he has already won an Australia cup and league title already. Seems very willing to give youth a chance.
