Post-hail storm 😭

So this happened and I'm so upset 😭 But I know many of you deal with hail. How do you recover from it? I have two types of damage: actual splits in the leaves and impact marks. Are you cutting off only leaves with holes or do you cut off all damaged leaves? And if I do that, how long can I expect it to take for an almost completely defoliated hosta to recover?

Rainbow's End & friends after rain

We've had a fairly cool and wet start to the summer and everything in the garden is loving it

Clematis at the botanical garden in Beijing (south section) 😍

The first few are: Hagley Hybrid, Dr. Ruppel, Rooguchi, Sea Breeze (?), Tie Dye (what a unique looking clematis!) and Venosa Violacea. After that I have no idea, but how beautiful are they? I look forward to seeing them every year. Please let me know if you recognise any!

Clematis at the botanical garden in Beijing (north section) 😍

Frustratingly none of these are labelled (they have all been there for years). My guesses are: Comtesse de Bouchard, Princess Diana, virginiana, Ville de Lyon, couldn't even hazard a guess, Comtesse de Bouchard again with a purple one I have no idea of, Sea Breeze, and finally Utopia. If you recognize any I'd love to know!

The ethereal Utopia

Utopia has been on my wishlist for years. I only bought her last month to replace my sadly missed HF Young and she absolutely shot up and has 12 flowers/buds already - the flowers are full size too! That almost never happens! The flowers start out darker (photo 3) and lighten into their full glory (photo 1). She deserves a more attractive location so at some point I'll move her into my garden so that the backgrounds are more photogenic 🤣 (she's currently outside my neighbours' where I have a few plants like roses and chrysanths that need full sun).

Some of my little collection

I'm in Beijing and because the Chinese names are often very different to the English names I don't know what most of my hostas actually are. Here I think I have a Fire Island (far right), June (second from right) and two Frances Williams (far left and third from right). Can anyone confirm? And does anyone recognise the second and third from left? Thanks!

Niobe & unknown clem (maybe texensis?)

All my clems are in pots so this combination came about when I temporarily moved the red one next to Niobe and by the time I thought to move it they'd already grown into each other. Niobe is 4 years old and has actually not done well for the past 2 years, with very small flowers. I moved her to a position with more light this year and was rewarded for it! The red one flowers for a long time but never very profusely and rarely gets over 1m tall - but it's in a pretty small pot so that might be why.
