Rewards
Is the rewards bugged or anybody else having issues? I didn’t realize they changed it- and thought it was still tied to streaks (I think).
But for the last week it spins and I’ve gotten “3 Selfies” every time.

For context, I’ve always had longer hairstyles in my teens and 20s, but when I hit 30 it kicked my door in. I’ve got some thinning on the top, but it’s really only noticeable if my hair is wet, sweaty, or greasy. I have light brown and blonde dispersed throughout so it does help kind of blend with any bit of my scalp showing. The top doesn’t necessarily scream “balding”.
I’m just trying to gather opinions on if I should embrace the receding hairline and keep a longer hairstyle and own it, or if I’m kidding myself and need to just settle for a shorter hairstyle like a crew cut.
Also, in the picture I haven’t had a haircut in like three months and let it grow out. Lol So it obviously looks messy and unkempt.
Repost since I messed up my original post and forgot to attach the picture. 🤦🏻♂️
33 M 180lbs. 100mg of Lamotrigine, propranolol as needed, triazolam as needed for sleep, Adderall.
So I’ve had insomnia for about 10 years. I do shift work every four weeks, day shift to night shift. Most days during the week I get about 3-5 hours of sleep. I’m also a first responder for full context. Not a medical professional but have received a lot of training and education in different medications, so not completely out of the element.
But amongst the insomnia I’ve struggled with mood swings and and deep depression and extreme agitation and anger at times. After like 7 years I finally found a psychiatrist that didn’t just dismiss it as “you’re anxious because of a stressful job”. He diagnosed me with Cyclothymia.
The only good thing my old doctor (psychiatric nurse is who I only say instead of a psychiatrist) prescribed for me was prescribe me Triazolam for sleep. She did make it clear it was a benzo and could be addictive and told me take as needed. Triazolam has been a miracle and I do take it sparingly, knowing the risks. No more than twice a week. And at most 4-5 times a month. But it works quick, is out of my system fairly quickly so I don’t feel hungover in the morning. And relaxes my body and quiets my brain down (not so much racing thoughts, but the bored thought cycling).
My new psych has prescribed me Lamotrigine for the Cyclothymia, which I think has noticeably made my insomnia worse. I’m on my last titration cycle to 100mg for the next two weeks.
Just wondering if there is literally anything that can sedate like a benzo but isn’t addictive or harmful for the long term?
I’ve tried the TCAs but they all make me extremely dizzy and nauseous all throughout the next day. And Mirtazapine made me gain like 30 lbs in 4 months almost.
I go back to my psych next month and I do plan to talk to him more in depth about it. He gave me Seroquel as a bridge for the insomnia and it made me extremely sleepy and wobbly which is fine when I go to sleep, but I felt extremely groggy in the morning. And he seems hesitant to keep using the Triazolam, which I understand completely, and already feel awkward asking for it. Lol
I just need something that can relax my brain and body for sleep, and not have these terrible hangover feelings in the morning.
I do plan to talk to him about Quviviq next month and see if that does anything. But since it’s only brand name, it tends to run a little expensive even with insurance.
And I know therapy may benefit me in some way. But it just gets annoying when they just assume it’s stress from my job. But I’m already paying out of pocket for my psych, and getting a psychologist would be a bit too much for me to handle right now. I’d prefer to keep it that way since any form of mental health treatment is stigmatized still in my career field.
Thanks in advance.
