What’s after the new CDJ-1500X?

Just some speculation here. Recently picked up a pair of XDJ-1000mk2s and absolutely love them so far. Obviously they’re a bit dated which doesn’t bother me too much but there are some feature i do miss that the 1500X do have. Shortly after my purchase AlphaTheta released the 1500X (great timing). I know they’re getting a lot of hate but honestly i kind of like them! My biggest gripe, and honestly the main reason i won’t be purchasing them is the Jog Wheel size…. not really sure why they thought having a 10.1 inch display with a half sized jog wheel was a good idea but who knows…

anyways, i love the full sized jog wheel on my AZ and my now XDJ-1000mk2s. The half sized jog wheels just make it feel so cheap, similar to the RX3 which i hated the jog wheels on.

Main point here is i wonder if we’re looking at a similar situation as the Opus Quad and AZ. Both are fairly similar but also different in their own respects. The opus quad was released and about a year later the AZ was released. The 1500X feel very Opus Quad adjacent to me as in they’ve released this product that is a bit gimmicky and maybe in about a year or so they’ll released a better version of the 1500X. Maybe with the same screen size (or smaller) but full sized jog wheel but similarly striped down like the 1500X is now.

What do you guys think?

XDJ-AZ vs XDJ 1000mk2 with DJM-V5

Title says most of it. I currently have an XDJ-AZ it’s great and works awesome, absolutely love this thing but really want to get into a modular system. Been thinking about pairing up two XDJ-1000mk2s with a DJM-V5. Absolutely love the V10 whenever i’ve used it but that’s really out of the budget lol so i’ve had my eye on the V5 since it came out. Would it even been worth switching over if I already have the AZ? I play a lot of my local clubs and bars so I practice at home a lot which is why I even got the AZ in the first place but the V5 is just incredible. Another reason I want to get into the modular set up is because i particularly play a venue on a weekly basis but they have an extremely worn down old mixer paired with cdj3000s. I’ve asked them about bringing in my own mixer so I’ve rented an A9 a couple times to bring it over and it makes it a much more enjoyable experience. That being said i can bring the V5 with me whenever I play these gigs, not the selling point but just another reason i’m interested in it I also can’t bring the AZ there because there isn’t enough space (it’s a weird set up). Any thoughts would be helpful just not really sure, thanks!

Need help identifying fixture

Anyone know anything about these LED rope-like fixtures? Working on a big event in July and the client wants to bring something similar in. Anyone know where I can find something similar? Obviously needs to have DMX and preferably and decent amount of length options. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks!
