One time I used OneTagger to give thousands of tracks treatment to get a consistent file naming system on my local files; little did I know that it would break thousands of links in Rekordbox. I tried the Auto Relocate feature only to face the horror of being faced with the dumbest tool ever. Then I sat there, staring at the screen with thousands of songs with barely changed names, unchanged metadata, yet rekordbox was unable to find any of them.

RB lets you Relocate, and if you want to re-link, you have to do it one by one. Lazy as I am, I knew it wasn't on the table doing so for days on end; then the thought came up, "what if I could just fix it my way?"

So here you go, a tool with capabilities of doing what Rekordbox can't. Fully open source, GPL 3 licensed, completely free without asking for anything back.

Since then I've added Hot Cue managing functionality. a browser that scans your database, shows your RB library with focus on Hot Cues. What is really cool though is that, let's say if you've re-encoded a bunch of FLAC files to MP3. One would think you'd have to re-import the new file, right?

The only issue is that re-encoding like that will add some length to the song, and therefore will drift your hot cues off the grid, but not anymore.

Safely Re-encode how many files you want, Relink them with Relinkbox, then use Cue Manager to snap those hot cues back into place, all by clicking one button.

Hi guys, I write you because recently I travelled to Lisbon and I had the chance of visiting some dj shops, mainly because I wanted to practise in a djm v10 and cdj setup, in the shop that I booked for playing with them, I spoked with the shop guy about some thoughts I had about upgrading my home setup and he told me that he had some serious inputs from alphateta that the rx4/ax version will come before the end of 2026 so he told me to wait before buying a new rx3, any thoughts on this?
From my side I would really love a rx4/ax with bigger wheels and still two channels, and maybe send return effects as the v5?, I guess that if it had 3 channels it would be insane but I guess it is hard to happen, the only thing that really scares me is that they do the same as with the AN and put everything on the screen, I love physical buttons!!!!

What are your thoughts guys?

I’ve been getting booked for outdoor gigs and want to switch to a standalone system. I currently use a DDJ-GRV6 with a 2020 MacBook Air, but my laptop overheats outside, causing the music to slow down and cut out.
I found a used XDJ-RX and XDJ-RR for $750 each. Most of my gigs will be small patios and rooftops, so portability matters, but I also rely heavily on Hot Cues for phrasing and use echo reverb and spiral.
Which would you choose at the same price, and would the RR feel like a downgrade coming from the GRV6?

I’ve been following the stem mods for the CDJ-3000, XZ, AZ and RX3, and the part that kept bugging me was the prep. Separating a crate on a laptop takes ages, so I put together a small web app that does it on GPUs I have at home.

You pick what you’re playing on, drop in some tracks, and it splits them into vocals, drums, bass and the rest with Demucs. You can preview the stems in the browser before downloading. For a CDJ-3000 running cdj3k-mods, it writes the stems in the mod’s own format so they should load on the deck. For everything else, including Denon gear and DAWs, you just get the stems as separate audio files.

It’s at https://www.clouddsp.ca if anyone wants to try it. It’s free, there’s no account, and files get deleted after 48 hours. I'm still improving the load times as I go.

I have around 2k to play around with. I want the closest thing to 2 cdj 3000x’s and an a9 /club standard since thats what most of my local venues use. I mostly play electroclash, hardstyle and hyperpop. Pretty much anything but house lol. Ive been looking at an rx3 but i need a second opinion.

I'm drying to decide on which to get the V5 or the A9 I'm getting it with the Crss12's besides the crossfader what is the difference how's the sound on each? also I dj with the volume faders and I play open format Latin, hip hop, a little house etc. any info from anyone that has had experience with these?

I got a really good value for a whole denon set up but like idrk. mint condition 2 sc5000 primes and x1850 mixer. 1600 for everything. Thing is all venues near me use cdj’s and i want to be comfy with that ecosystem. Id be upgrading from an flx 4. Its either that or an rx3, good condition 1800 bucks. Can rekordbox beatgrids and hotcues transfer over to these denons and which is more worth it? Which would be better for my situation. Please help

That’s me back DJing after years out of the game, and I’m absolutely loving it again.
I play house, proper house music, always with plenty of old school classics thrown in. I use Rekordbox and, at the moment, I’ve been using the equipment in the bars where I DJ.
The problem, although it’s a good problem to have is that a few other bars around where I live in Thailand have seen me play and have asked me to DJ for them. I don’t own any gear anymore, so it’s time to buy something.
I’m about 80% set on the AlphaTheta OMNIS-DUO.
The portability and built in battery are a massive attraction. I can easily take it from bar to bar, and being in Thailand, the idea of being able to set up pretty much anywhere really appeals to me.
One thing worth mentioning: effects and loads of extra features aren’t important to me. I hardly use them.
I keep my mixing simple. Give me a good 1 minute mix, swap the bass at the right time, make the transition clean and let people hear the bloody song! 😂 That’s how I’ve always played.
I also want to stay with Pioneer/AlphaTheta because it’s the industry standard. I’m expecting to pick up some bigger gigs where I’ll be walking into a full CDJ setup, so keeping everything familiar makes sense. I’m comfortable on CDJs anyway, but familiarity is important.
So, for anyone actually using an OMNIS DUO, especially for bar gigs:
Would you buy one again?
Any drawbacks you’ve discovered after living with it for a while?
And for the way I DJ, is there anything else around the same price that you’d seriously consider instead?

Hi! I’m wondering why every time that i update a song (title, artist…) or if I add 3/4 files, when I use syn manager it takes to sync my pendrive around 90 minutes? I’m using different sandsik extreme pro duo formatted for fat32 (mbr) and I’m using Rekordbox for max 7.2.19…
