IMAX CEO states The Odyssey will be shown in 41 film theaters

Starts at 12:17 into the webcast

> We're playing [The Odyssey] in 41 film theaters whereas last time we only played [Oppenheimer] in 30.

There are 26 theaters that have already sold tickets for opening weekend:

Additionally, there are 6 theaters I would say are all but confirmed to show it:

  • Vue Manchester IMAX & The Printworks (Website confirmed)
  • Cinemark Carefree Circle & IMAX (Press Release)
  • Cinemark Seven Bridges & IMAX(Press Release)
  • Cinemark Tinseltown Rochester & IMAX (Press Release)
  • Regal LA Live & IMAX (Press Release)
  • Apple Cinemas Providence Place & IMAX (Least likely of the 6 but due to substantial rumors and theater history I would be surprised if they didn't)

That leaves 9 more potential theaters that could be showing The Odyssey on 70mm IMAX.

NOTE: Everything below is not based on any news or even rumors. It is all purely speculation

There are two theaters that showed Oppenheimer on 70mm and have not yet been mentioned

  • AMC Rivercenter 11 & IMAX
  • IMAX Dome Theatre, Michigan Science Center

Both seem like likely candidates, but there have been rumors about whether their projectors are in working order.

For the remaining 7 we can go a bit more wild in our speculation
