SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT - FIRST TEST

The South Africa Men’s selection panel has today named a preliminary 18-player squad for the first Dafabet Test against Australia, scheduled to take place from 09 - 13 October at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban.

Hollywoodbets Dolphins batter Marques Ackerman is the only uncapped player in the squad, earning his maiden Test call-up following an impressive run of form for South Africa A (SA ‘A’).

Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been included as he continues his recovery from a right hamstring injury.

Fellow seamers Ottneil Baartman, Kwena Maphaka and Lungi Ngidi were not considered for selection as they continue their rehabilitation from their respective hamstring injuries.

Gerald Coetzee (Momentum Multiply Titans), Anrich Nortje (Hollywoodbets Dolphins), and Dane Paterson (YesPlay Cobras) make their return to the Test setup.

I broke my 100 yesterday for the first time, by 5 strokes!

I took my FIL for a Monday morning round, perfect time for him cause I was actually afraid his level may not be ready for a full 18 on a public course, he's only played mashies and one 9 holes that went horrible.

He played much better than before and we both just kept moving forward, and for the first time I didn't overthink my own game, just enjoying a round with the old man.

I didn't even realise that I had gone the whole round without a single blow-up, just keep moving forward and not overthinking.

Great round of golf with the old man, both scored our PB's, he's extremely proud of his 116 and beers after.
