Setlist so dry I’ve started playing my own Spotify music over Festival and it’s gotten me back into the game

OPINION INCOMING:

A grand majority of new tracks added to Fortnite over the past year have failed to capture my interest but at the same time I do have a craving for a rhythm game and Fortnite Festival scratches that itch despite the music, personally, not being very good. So I’ve come up with a solution, playing Spotify over the Festival music and it has gotten me back into the game.

If you haven’t tried this, I highly recommend it. There are enough tracks in the game to cover a wide range of durations, and most of the songs I’ve played have fit 1:1 with the Festival tracks. Granted, the notes don’t match up, sometimes the instruments don’t either, and you do have to be on your A-game to pause and unpause at the right moments but the illusion works pretty well. Sound effects from the game still playing while the music is set at just the right level has worked well for me and guests that I’ve had over who want to jam.

I am aware I am living in a bubble, but I like it this way. Until the time comes where Epic can add some actual jams to the game, I’m going to continue to do this. Highly recommend it for anyone else stuck in a rut like I was.

Warning: The new STW Homebase menu counts as a match, so you can’t refund something bought from the item shop in BR.

Not sure if this is “as intended” but usually when you buy something from the item shop, you have a 24 hour period to return a purchase so long as you do not enter an online match. The new Save the World Homebase menu counts as you entering a match, even though there’s no way to actually load into a real game, in Save the World, without entering it.

I don’t want to actually refund my purchase, just thought this was strange behavior and wanted to warn those who make frequent impulse purchases.
