I don’t mean to offend anyone with this question; personally, I’m very torn on the matter. For the most part, I buy physical copies of games—especially used ones. I definitely side with the collectors. But how should we handle blockbusters that we’re actually looking forward to, yet are released only digitally? Should we simply not buy them? Even though I’m not yet sure about games like that, one thing is certain: I won’t be getting a PlayStation 6. If the only systems available are those that have abandoned disc production, I’ll switch to the platform that offers at least some choice regarding where I can get my games.
Edit: GTA is just an example for me, I’m referring to all the games you were really looking forward to, but which—contrary to expectations—are now being released only in digital format.
