SEBI Flags First Alleged Manipulation of Sensex Closing Auction

SEBI has passed an interim order over alleged manipulation of the Sensex Closing Auction Session (CAS) on August 13.

According to SEBI, two entities placed large orders during CAS while holding positions in Sensex options that could benefit from the resulting closing price movements.
SEBI has calculated alleged wrongful gains of over ₹3.67 crore and restrained both entities from the securities market.

Interestingly, this happened just days after the new CAS mechanism went live.

CAS was introduced for better closing-price discovery. This case will probably raise an important question: does the new mechanism also create new opportunities for manipulating the closing price?

AI helped a guy recover 5 BTC after 11 years

A guy apparently recovered 5 BTC (~$400k) that was locked for 11 years using Claude AI.

He had forgotten the wallet password after changing it in college years ago. Recovery services and brute force attempts failed.

Then he uploaded old wallet files and computer data into Claude. The AI helped find the wallet, spot an issue in the recovery process, and finally recover the keys.

If true, this is one of the craziest real-world AI use cases yet.

Let’s say Trump is forcing fake UFO transparency to hide the Epstein files.

First it was the Iran war.

Now it’s UFO files.

Every time Epstein starts trending again, suddenly there’s a bigger story everywhere.

War.
Aliens.
National emergency.
Breaking news.

Maybe it’s coincidence.

But the easiest way to make people stop talking about something isn’t deleting the story.

It’s replacing it with a louder one.

Prediction markets on Polymarket are tracking outcomes across 5 states & UTs.

Counting & Results:

May 4, 2026 (all 824 seats)

$22M+ already traded across election markets.

In the US, you can legally trade on events like elections, inflation, even Fed decisions through prediction markets.

In India, regulations are far tighter these kinds of markets don’t operate locally.

So the question is:

Does restricting them protect users…

or limit access to a powerful information tool?
