Is travelling on a train with a valid residence permit but no passport okay?

I have a trip from Strasbourg to Frankfurt and my passport is in the embassy for processing. Would it be okay to travel with a Finnish residence permit and ID which is valid currently and for a long time from now? I’d have to cancel my trip otherwise as my passport isn’t coming anytime soon. I read that the border checks require passport/ID and I’m not sure if the ID being referred to is the Finnish residence permit or any other similar document. I saw that legally it is required that one must have both, but in cases if one’s able to explain the situation, the officer would understand?

Do I need to visit a GP before a TB screening test and MMR serology?

Long story short: I’m doing an internship in Paris and I have to apply for dorm rooms in another country this fall which requires these 2 tests to be completed. I think even the visa for that specific country requires these 2 tests’ results. As a result I’d have to get them done while in paris as I’m applying through KVAC paris. I asked ChatGPT and it told me these are the steps

  1. Visit GP for prescription
  2. Go to lab for test
  3. Take form back to GP for signing and stamp

But then I read on these subs and others that almost all Lab tests here are walk in and the sign is only done by head of department if required after the tests results are out which kinda cuts my costs a lot because this GP—> lab -> GP route would make me pay 2 GP visits and I don’t have a social security number so I’m pretty sure that number would come only after a year or so given what I’d read and posted previously about. So before skipping the GP visit, I’d like to confirm if such tests are walk-in with people who’ve actually done them or if anyone knows anyone who’s done such a process.

All help is greatly appreciated! 🙏

Applied for a social security number and CPAM got my documents 2 weeks back but I haven’t heard back from them. Calling them is blowing out my balance due to the long waiting time

How do I get in touch? I don’t speak French nor do I know someone that could come with me to the office to help with this. Is it that big a headache to get this temporary number too? I won’t get paid my tickets restaurant at work without it. Confused about the timelines. Could anyone who’s been through this process tell me how can I get this quicker?

So this host I’m staying with was nice at times in the start. Then the issue started when I used the bath tub and he asked me to clean it as it’s only for women apparently? He didn’t tell me this nor was it in the rules. I agreed just to sleep that day. The next day I used the washing machine and had very less clothes to wash. The host then asks me for 10 euros in cash for this. I wanted to avoid conflict and just finish this so I give the euros. He basically says it’s mucho agua mucho electricity and bath para la mujer etc and the thing is I gotta keep using google translate. Is this normal for hosts to ask for cash only for some issue like this? Is it against the Airbnb policy to pay for something like this? It was listed on the property listing that washing machine is included. I don’t know how the host enforced some informal rules like this. Is this a scam or?
