Best results when used alongside the Blueprints Expanded mod, which allows you to bring your blueprints into the game. (You can also sync your blueprints directory on Chrome to instantly access them in the browser)

If you're in need of feeling inspired, you can import blueprints directly from your save files

fancy SPOM I'd like to import...

Or start by browsing the catalog mirrored from BlueprintsNotIncluded.org

Or graft other blueprints onto your own:

Some highlights:

  • Captures the ambience and vibes of the game. You can paint biomes, cells, place geysers or meeps (and anything in-between) to make your scene feel alive. These decorations will obviously not carry into the game but are pretty great to look at.
  • I don't like learning new control schemes, so I tried to mimic as much of the in-game controls and navigation patterns here (at least the ones I use). What will feel familiar is WASD, overlay stripe, the build menus, and some commonly used keybindings like Disconnect/Deconstruct/Build.
  • Your usual editor support stuff that you'd expect from any online tool (Undo/Redo, Copy-Paste, Multi-Select). Anonymous users have their saves local to their device, but you can publish to share with other users by logging in.
  • Compatibility with Blueprints Expanded. Also supports displaying every setting that can be configured.
  • In-game placement rules, room overlays, conduit overlays, including conduit flow visualization.
  • Mobile-web supported.

They finally made smooth hatches useful in the new beta!

Squids protect their eggs by ink-blasting anything nearby.

Ink is a valuable resource.

Smooth hatches are extremely tanky critters.

pretend smooth hatches were useful all along.

(Each smooth hatch killed this way gives 400kg of ink)
