Gotchaversary
This month was Gary's one year gotchaversary!
The day we met at the rescue vs. three days ago.
He has grown into quite the little turd, and we could not love him more. 😄
Can I help you?
Gary is my first chihuahua-based dog, and even a year later, I'm still getting used to his...quirks.

I woke up suddenly last night, and this is what I saw. My husband said, "He's been staring at you like that for an hour."

😐

Normally, he wakes me up by trying to burrow under my blanket, so I lifted it up to see if he was interested, but no. He just continued to stare at me.

I was eventually able to fall back to sleep.

Eventually.

Gary is super relaxed during the heatwave.
He was shivering because of the AC, so I tucked him into my hoodie.

If his face looks weird, it's because his left eye is missing. Not that we're looking for it; it was surgically removed. Just to clarify. 😄
It's a dry heat, though.
Gary's back, and he's loving this heat we're having! (And so does his girlfriend.)

(Don't mind the yard; just had landscapers out to tidy up the yard, and I'm going to be planting ground cover everywhere because fuck lawns. Gary and his brother will have some lovely, soft creeping thyme to roll around in in the near future.)
Today is Gary's enucleationiversary!
No matter which order I add the photos, it always puts the "after" first. 😠
Anyway, I was fostering Gary when he went in to get neutered. Found out later that they'd also removed his eye and given him a dental (and removed four teeth).
He was such a trooper, though. Never complained or tried to get his e-collar off.
When the foster coordinator told me Gary was going up on the website, I told her we'd like to adopt him, and now he's all ours!
52 with a new tattoo
Not sure which flair to use. Got my first tattoo when I was forty; figured it's time for a new one.
Captain Oxalis Triangularis (aka Gary)
I had the AC on, and he refused to come back inside. He's my first chihuahua, and I'm still getting used to his....chihuahua-ness.
First time in a hammock. He was not impressed.
My other dog loves hammock naps, so I dunno what *this* guy's problem is. 😄
Gary and his older brother who was born deafblind. They were supervising my yardwork.
