Is this uranium?

Looks to be Kanawha satin pink slag glass compote with orange swirls. The pic is with a 365 light. It only ever so slightly glows under 395. Is the rim uranium?

It’s MAGIC

One of the coolest things I’ve found. Got this a few weeks ago and it’s been the one item in my place that everyone always points out lol

I can’t post a video to show but I give it a light turn once it’s floating and it just stays spinning forever. Love!!

How gorgeous is that glow?

Quick question for you folks! What’s that hole at the tip top? And what are the spiky things? Both seem natural but are they defects?

I bought this… now what?

I have slight buyer’s remorse. What am I going to do with this behemoth of a demijohn. I thought it looked cool in the store and now I’m struggling to find a use lol should I throw some pampas or eucalyptus in here and use it as a floor vase?

Don’t do what I did…

I really liked the hand painted fish decals on the vase so I brought it home with me. But like all things I thrift, I always wash them when I get home. Well… the fishies went down the drain 😭

There was an artist signature on the bottom too. Was.

Any Portieux experts?

I found this very heavy crystal (?) bowl with frosted eagle motifs as the base. It’s reminiscent of Lalique but not as refined. The bottom is stamped “Portieux France” in the same style as Baccarat and St Louis.

I know Portieux is known for their opaline glass. Did they venture into crystal at some point? I couldn’t find any other examples of it online. Can anyone help?

I’m kinda scared to use this teapot

Found it for $4 at an estate sale! It looks so pretty but now I’m too afraid to break it lol

What is this and why is it so cute?

I’ve never seen this before! Can anyone provide more info? Either way… so cute! Might actually use this for flowers rather than keep it in my display case haha

Check out these candlestick holders!

Found the pair for $10! I have crystal ones that are for more formal occasions but these will be the ones for everything else. Love them! They’re not Mackenzie Childs but close.

Do you ever feel guilty?

I found a Tiffany bowl at an estate sale (by the owner) and it was listed for $3. I gave them a $10 and just couldn’t bear to ask for change. So I said keep it. Anyone ever have that moment?

I did not mean for this to be a collection…

I’ve had the blue one for a few months now and just picked up the amethyst one. I couldn’t resist!! How many is too many? 🤔

The moon and stars were out this weekend!

I found the right one at an estate sale and then the left one at a thrift store right after. Combined price was $8… heck yeah!

I might have unintentionally started a pitcher collection

This is my third one in two months! And what a lovely glow this has — is this custard or opaline? The pitcher is thinner and lighter than other custards I have!

One of the prettiest trinket dishes I’ve seen!

I believe it’s Murano! The latticino seems too machine-like though but the point where they all converge is super well done so it’s a toss up! It’s striking either way and I love it!

One white whale down!!

Or you could say… white dolphin/koi haha I’ve wanted these for so long and finally found them! At a pretty darn reasonable price of $25 too!
