Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition OpenGL memory leak

First time playing the game, was getting pretty into it, and then 5-10 minutes in (actually during character creation) the game starts stuttering and lagging until it crashes. I pushed through a few times, rushing through each element of the tutorial that I had already done until enough was enough. I looked online of course first, and did a few minor things (installing OAL, reinstalling the game completely fresh, rebooting my PC) and nothing worked.

Finally decided to look at event viewer since there don't seem to be crash logs created by the game and what do you know, baldur.exe 64-bit OpenGL drivers crashed because they ran out of memory.

I have a 4080 Super which has 16GB of VRAM, so I highly doubt that lol

Anyway I switched to DirectX using the alternate renderer setting in the options and it seems to have fixed the issue, though I only played out the rest of the tutorial (around 30 minutes total in the session) before logging off for the night; really hope the issue is fixed but I'm just curious if anyone else has had that issue as of late. It doesn't seem like Beamdog or Aspyr or whoever really has a location for submitting bugs (unless I missed it; I did post in the Steam Discussions for the game, for whatever that's worth) so I figured this is probably the best Hail Mary I have? I know there's a new patch in beta so maybe by some miracle... who knows.

Anyway, howdy y'all. Hope this is of some use to somebody.

EDIT: It's an OpenGL memory leak directly related to Discord streaming; I feel like a bit of a fool but if you are streaming the game on Discord while in OpenGL it has the leak. Streaming on DirectX or playing on OpenGL regularly without streaming does not cause a memory leak, so this is a fairly niche problem. I'll still leave this here just in case anyone comes across the same issue.

I made Sly Cooper in Restitched

Right now it's just a demo for creating characters, but when it comes out you'll be able to download and play as him if you'd like. Steam Workshop link for anyone interested.

Unfortunately decorations are not yet in the demo/game (you can see them grayed out on the right there, the little Christmas ornament), so we're limited to 2D stickers, but when the decorations are added I'll be sure to update him so he has a leg pouch and cane. (I opted not to give him a pickaxe or wrench since they just don't work very well as a cane.)

Just started Tenchu 1 with the modernized controls mod and...

I am loving it. I know that it's probably a bit blasphemous to some people here, but having tried to play the game before, I just wasn't able to stick with it long enough for the tank controls to click. However, once I found the modernized controls mod (just on a whim I Googled it last night and poof there it was) I decided to give it another go and holy shit it's incredible. I'm a huge stealth head and being able to add Tenchu to the list of stealth games I've completed (not quite yet, got halfway through today) is gonna be a feather in my cap that I've been long looking forward to adding.

Tenchu 2 also has the same mod by the same developer so I'll be jumping into that game soon after completing the first. Excited to be here! (Here's a link to the mod for Tenchu 1 if anyone is curious. Just patch Tenchu rev 1 with an xdelta patcher of your choice, turn on analog in your emulator settings, and you're golden! And here is the mod for 2.)
