Season 2 reaction (LOVE IT) (Pls no season 3 spoilers lol)

I just finished season two, and i think it ended with my least favorite and most favorite games immediately back to back. Starting negative, which is funny because i have almost nothing negative to say about this show, but i felt like the king of spades was overall kind of silly. He must have wasted hundreds and hundreds of bullets shooting in their general direction, and somehow hitting nothing. Also the idea that they all survived throughout that whole thing, even being stabbed or shot 10+ times, like ok i guess, but i just felt like most of the games felt like they had real stakes, but this one ironically didnt.

For the positive, everything else about the show, i loved the queen of hearts game so much i dont even know how to explain. Something about the way that the writers kept me guessing without making me feel like it was a cheap trick i think really lends to the way that the final game sums everything up so far. If he doesnt find his purpose to live, whats the point of going back to the real world. The way i couldnt tell whether the game world was real, or the hospital ward, and the fakeout alien and future stories were great as well. They really got me upset by saying it was all a vr game, so kudos to them for pulling it off. I also love how the borderland is actually a near death experience, i spent hours contemplating what it might be, and i never thought of that. For me its the perfect blend of an idea that makes perfect sense but isnt predictable, like aliens would be. Massive respect for the actors and the writers and everyone involved, cant wait to watch season 3!!!

Continuing the story

I just finished watching the anime, and while I loved it and binged it, I was a little disappointed that they didn’t show more of Saitama throughout. (I also thought the animation was fine lol) but I was just wondering if the rest of the manga is worth reading and shows more of his growth, because I’m interested in the story
