I’ve got a car that leaks coolant, I’ve put radiator stop leak because mechanic told me that to fix it would be more than the worth of the car. It seemed to work fine for a couple weeks , now the engine is starting to overheat.

For reference, this is and old car with multiple other exterior and interior defects, I’m a broke student and I’m getting a new car next month after I move, so I just need it to work for another month maybe two then straight to the scrap yard.

Also , I only drive short distances , max 15 mins at a time, to work, and back 5 days a week. Shops and everything else are in walking distance.

Any advice on how to stop the engine from overheating even if it’s temporary would be helpful. Cheers!
