How much prep can I expect from my Preply tutor?
I like my tutor, she's friendly and we get along (been working with her for about half year). However, I feel like she's kind of leaving it up to me to come up with topics to talk about in class. Initially I didn't mind as much, and used it as an opportunity to do some studying in between classes and it helped me to have a few talking points prepared, but now I find it takes up a fair bit of mental energy for me to decide on the topic, and end up kind of dreading it.
I understand Preply is likely more affordable than what I would pay for a private class elsewhere (specifically, I pay ~37€ per class, 1 per week for 50 minutes), but still don't know if this is the expectation and not sure if I should raise this concern with my tutor, or try other tutors.
How does it work for you? What topics are prepared for the class and how does it work? My goal was to have conversational classes and focus on speaking, but I did expect a bit more structure I suppose. Should I bring up more specific goals, I am kind of not sure how to even approach this subject.
