does anyone relate? (question/rant)

does anyone relate? (question/rant)

as some of you guys might know, my comic is my everything rn, i spent 8 years working on it and I've been finally releasing episodes consistently since may. ill work my 8 hour shift job in the morning and after ill go home and work on my comic for the rest of the day

i used to post every Friday with each chapter hitting the max ( i think 100 images is the max)

but now its starting to hit me (burnout type)

so, i posted on my profile page that i was going to start posting every other Friday. but a small part of me thinks that people might get bored of waiting for each chapter and leave. i know I'm just overthinking but uuuugh! i hate it!

I'm so tempted to post the next part to my episode this Friday but i caaaant! not until the 28th

i probably sound like crazy for trying to post every Friday with also hitting the max of images lol

anyone else had this problem?

do ppl hit the max often? now that i think about it, I've only read webcomics with a few pages.

i don't drag anything in my comic unless its for character development. but other than that im quick with my story. (this is the problem, this is how they fix it, sprinkle in a cliff hanger and boom done! next episode) or idk, maybe i do drag it. i know episode 2 was hella dragged lol. i personally dont like episode 2 bc it felt long and boring but surprisingly its everyone's favorite lol

sorry for the rant and stuff. i like hearing from you guys and your experience. (enjoy my drawing of Reyes lol)

Carnelian's Amulet thanks you

I just wanted to say thank you for the support and for checking out my comic. I honestly didn't think anyone would read my last post but, alot of you guys did. And It really brought me to tears. Tbh, i didn't think happy tears were real. But, hoooly! I now believe that those type of tears do exist. I cried happy tears for 2 days straight lol

You guys are awesome

i didn't think would make it this far

idk if anyone is going to take the time to read this but i have no one else to share my story with. and it just feels good to let it out even if im the only one who sees this.

creating a comic has been my dream for 8 years now. the dream was too create the comic and then a show about my comic and or have a big fandom lol. but like i said that was the "dream". but I've had many problems in life that stopped me from even creating this comic. mainly my depression

i didn't think i would start my comic and continue, i always thought id start and stop on episode 2 and never post again... well actually, that's what happened to my first draft of carnelian amulet. i was bringing myself down with all these negative thoughts. i had convinced myself that i wasn't good enough to make a comic and that it was a waste of time. so just like that i had quit on carnelians amulet

after 2 years of fighting depression, i started again. i told myself "screw it! i want to make this comic and im going too. even if people don't read it. then ill be carnelians amulet's only biggest fan"

so, i took the time to finish the whole story on paper all 5 seasons. and then started drawing drafts. ngl its a lot, since i write, draw and try to promote for this comic on my own. but that wasn't not going to stop me. since there are other amazing creators doing the same thing.

thus the progress i made (pic above)

so, it brings me to today, i was kind of out of it. just staring at my dashboard staring at the episodes i had published. when all of a sudden a wave of emotions hit me. i was tearing up but, in a good way. i know i shouldn't be crying over a comic that i barely started 2 months ago (i think 2 months) but it definitely hits when you worked so hard for years on a comic. that you didn't think would ever see the light of day.

I've been working like crazy, i post every Friday and each part hits the limit i can upload (i think 100 is the limit) i know the burnout is coming for me lol

i love my story, my characters ( don't get me started on my characters, i will talk abou them for hours lol) and what i have planned going forward. i have this story posted on different webcomic sites but webtoon is the only up to date one so far. like i said, im trying lol

Carnelian's Amulet ep 2 is out

This was probably the most stressful episode I had made so far. It was so hard coloring with just grays lol

Would you read a comic if it had this style throughout?

Heyo!

Created my first comic called "Carnelian's Amulet" on canvas

(Kara thought she was an ordinary teen until she found out she is related to a powerful deity! Will she live up to Carnelian's legacy?"

This comic is my baby! It's been in the works for 8 years. I did, perviously post my comic on webtoon 3 years ago, but i abandoned it sadly due to my depression. BUT! This year, I decided to lock in. Thus, "Carnelian's Amulet" was reborn

But drawing lineart was always a pain. So, I learned how to draw line less art, but I don't really see any comics with this type of style. Makes me wonder if it was a good idea or not...
