need a new steering pump for 540i, fcp has a remanufactured in China TRW for $200 and remanufactured in the US Maval for $110. ive never used anything Maval, are they any good?

have a hole floor in my bmw e39, im panning to weld this and several other spots probably in a year or 2, in the meantime to prevent further deterioration and salty water in winter from getting inside, would this be a solid fix that will last several years:

1. clean to bare metal, apply POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser, let it dry

2. POR-15 Metal Prep, let it dry

3. POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating

4. JB weld to plug the hole

5. not sure if and what i need any undercoating applied from the bottom?

ive never done anything like this, but i chose POR 15 because it seems to have all the products i probably need. am i missing anything? any feedback would be much appreciated!

m62tub44, this pulley between the alternator and the PS pump has some play and rotates freely when i spin it, is it still in a good condition or is it a sign that its worn out and need to be replaced? the bolt is fully tight
