Hi all - I’m looking to get a first gen 18i20 - used for around £150.

Firstly I was wondering, since this is an old piece of gear, will I have problems plugging it into a new MacBook Air with M2 chip?

Secondly, brand new Behringer UMC 1820 retail around 220£ - is this a significant upgrade in terms of latency, software etc?

For context - my set up is increasing in size and my desk is a snakes wedding - I was hoping to tackle this with either a mixer or an interface with more connections. I’m currently preferring the interface route as it would allow stereo recording and monitoring of multiple things.
