just thought i’d share an update on this 1/48 Hurricane from Airfix that I’m working on. I don’t usually do too much weathering because I’m not very good at it but I really life the look of this so far. My first go at a chipping effect also and wow does it add so much more to a build.

I decided to NOT cut out the other gun bay cover on the other side because I haven’t done a great job with the one I did do, so better to have just one uneven gun bay than 2!

If anybody can guess what it is that I am building then props to you - a little hint (kinda) I’m not usually a vehicle guy! I’m also doing 3 of them at the same time because I have 3 of them in my stash and I want to make space.

It’s actually quite tough working on 3 at the same time because of how many times you have to do the same part hahah but that’s ok.

It has been a while since I last completed a build so here we are. The P-51 that’s part of the D-DAY Fighters set.

Unfortunately though I had a HORRIBLE time with the D-DAY decals that were meant to go on either side of the plane, they were just far too fiddly and ended up ripping which is why I have the “incorrect” decals on the sides instead but hey, I think it still turned out pretty good! this was also my first build of a P-51 after many attempts in the past.
