Ultrawide for gaming

New to the world of ultrawides, but looking to switch from double monitor to a single ultrawide for my set up.

Which sounds better:

- Alienware - AW3425DW 34"

- 49 Inch Odyssey G9 G95C

The odyssey is on a massive sale so its almost the same price as the alienware. My primary concern is that the Odyssey is just too big and that I will run into visual issues running some games. Any thoughts? Also open to a good alternative if anyone knows of a better third monitor.

Thanks!

How to write a cover letter for a judicial clerkship?

Does anyone have any tips on how to write and structure a cover letter specifically for a judicial clerkship? Most of my experience is in plaintiff-side litigation and similar policy/advocacy work, so I'm wondering how to more effectively write for a clerkship rather than a advocacy based position. I've also done a bit of research in the environmental and public health context.

Also, I've seen that you should address to the specific judge. I think the clerkship I am applying to is just all the judges in the states appellate court, it doesn't seem like I am applying to a specific judge, so any advice there?

Thanks in advance!

Burn out

Ive been struggling to make it into the gym lately. I am a long time wrestler and some of my wrestling experiences were not healthy (numerous injuries, way too much time spent, stressful coaching, etc.)

I was hesitant to start BJJ because while I still love wrestling and grappling, I find myself severely struggling to attend anything more than an open mat (I like live rolling and hate drilling these days).

I ended up doing it and have been at a gym for almost 2 years (very inconsistently). At first the inconsistency was what I wanted, i.e. to only pop in when I'm going to have fun and appreciate it. I've even since competed once and had a great time.

I generally love my gym, but have a hard time going with new people because im 1) terrible at jujitsu and 2) good at wrestling, so I feel like Im a lousy partner and have not much to offer outside of wrestling exchanges that I force my partner to engage in. I have low tolerance for drilling these days as well and dont really have any goals, although competing again would be fun.

Recently though, im finding myself more and more to be feeling bad. I either am disappointed in how slow I am progressing or feel like im missing out on developing deeper relationships with my teammates. I want to be a better athlete and teammate and develop my jujitsu skills, but I also feel like I lack motivation. Anytime I get close to a practice I just cant stand the though of drilling for even a few hours. I just end up anxiously spiraling at the thought of being stuck in a practice after spending the whole day at work. This has lead me to focus more on lifting, which I can control the timing of.

I'm also in my last year of graduate school, so I think im also just generally burnt the hell out.

But now, I feel like I need to be better about jujitsu but I still struggle to come up with a routine. I think ideally id be going as minimally as possible to still develop somewhat. I also struggle with balancing lifting, which I like to do about 4 days a week.

Does anybody have any advice for dealing with the burn out or otherwise creating a "low maintenance" BJJ routine? My main goal is to create a sustainable floor of regularly attended practices. I care more about it being a low stress, fun experience than actually developing at an optimal rate.

Sorry for the long, whiny post. Thanks for any advice!

Need help identifying what style these shoes are

Hello, I bought theses shoes a long time ago and am trying to buy a new pair, but have no idea what style of converse they are.

I like that they are thicker, especially in the back (see extra padding in the photo). They also don’t have the hole in the side.
