Is this wear normal on barrel throat?

Did a full break down of my 16” PCC to clean gas piston and noticed this wear at throat of the barrel (feed ramp). It’s at the bottom half of barrel chamber. The gun shoots flawless, great accuracy, no feed issues. I shoot mainly Lawman, AE, and spicier Fiocchi & Win brown box. Non-suppressed. Is this normal wear or manufacturing?

Why do my residential Anti siphon sprinkler pumps always leak at threads ?

I’ve replaced different brands from big box stores, Orbit, RB, Lawn Genie and I end up with puddle at pump station. The water is usually small leak from pump threads. I use Teflon tape and tighten them like crazy. Am I doing something wrong ? Buy better brands?
