Songwriting club
I have been thinking about the possible existence of a songwriting club — some place (virtual or physical) where people can meet up and create songs together.
The idea is more focused on learning rather than collaboration or writing songs for free for an artist. This does not mean it could not lead to collaborations, but that would not be the main purpose.
I have already seen multiple songwriting contests or challenges, but submitting lyrics and getting feedback at the end is very different from receiving feedback while actively working on the song.
I was inspired by book clubs, where people gather to discuss a book, and I started wondering about transferring that concept to writing instead of reading.
I was wondering if anyone has ever heard about something like this. What do you think?
