Who here is a practicing planner?
Just out of curiosity, how many on this sub are urban planners? I currently work as a planner in a small town and honestly... it's making me rethink my career. While I love the potential visions and possibilities for our communities, it's been disheartening to see every planning decision give way to neoliberal dogma pushed by planning schools and YIMBY consultants.
Fellow planners, how do you navigate this in your daily practice? If you choose to leave, what are you doing now?
*Giving this the cursed flair because I think most can agree that working under YIMBY, neoliberal planning offices is indeed a cursed position to be in.*
