My cat ~3 years old Male, Is overall well behaved. His only behavior that is “bad” is he loves giving love bites. But they are full force really hard bites. And he is very forceful with them. He will even just grab our skin in his teeth and bite down and hold tight. It’s usually followed by kisses and purrs when he’s cuddling. That’s why I think it’s love bites and not him trying to be a brat. But thy hurt and my husband’s sick of it.
We’ve tried redirecting , but nothing makes him stop. Any ideas?

Edit: primarily he bites our cheeks, foreheads, necks etc when he’s doing this
