confusion about ending in book of hours

been rly enjoying book of hours (i bought dlc part way through) after getting way into cultist sim played for like 26 hours and i got the tree that lets me end the game and i made a final ink and can record a history but theres still so much of hush house i havent unlocked and books not read and skills not got and i cant figure out if i want to take an ending and start over and do things better this time cultist sim style (plus having my notes on what does what im missing some early stuf in my notes bc i wanst taking notes properly to start with oops) or if i keep going w this and try learn and unlock as much as possible before taking ending?? adding dlc mid save seems to also made things a bit odd so mb that factors into it i just really dont know what to do here

I dont want like spoilers i love figuring stuff out but also in this case its like enough is on the table slash at stake w restarting i want to know what taking an ending actually does and if this is like NG+ or if the NG+ is that i have my notes and know how stuf works and if i should be start over for the DLC stuff to be from the start

do i need to worry about wasting enchanted books

as title im still quite early game despite logging some hours (im bad at dungeons lol) and i got some enchanted books and have enough iron i could make an anvil to apply them but my tools are all iron and i cant use diamond ones yet (or an enchanting table itself cuz wither skull 💀) is it a waste to apply like a sharpness 4 to my iron spear or fortune 2 to my iron pick should i be saving these for later diamond or better idk what there is better i can reasonable get gear?

not that id even be able to use an enchanting table bc im always dead before i get more than like 8 levels stacked up lol might need to make exp tomes so my exp can be recovered when i die again in the same dungeon again

Update i put fortune on my pick and then broke it cuz im an idiot not even anything w the pack im just dumb

how "gamebreaking" is enabling keepinventory

asking this mostly because im debating with myself over it, lycanite event spawned seemingly out of nowhere in my world while i was nearby (but not at) my base and i got murked immediately (to be expected) and didn't have the supplies at my base to deal with the event, by the time the event mobs despawned so had my items and i get that this is my fault for not having disposable gear at the ready but thats what i was trying to get when the event spawned. left me pretty demotivated so i was thinking abt turning on keepinv so things like that dont happen again but also so I can play more risky and have more fun exploring and fighting and looting instead of farming wheat for exp for hours but at the same time i recognise that having keepinv is 100% not part of the intended experience of the pack and so i dont know what to do.

how gamebreaking is enabling keepinventory. I want to love this modpack and i know that the BS deaths are part of the true rlcraft experience but intended experience or not i would like to be able to enjoy myself and feel like im actually making progress and i cant decide if i should have keepinventory or not so im asking here

EDIT: I didnt even think of a gravestone mod thats a way better idea thanks everyone
