This is urgent. If I file H1B-H4 early in the grace period but receive an offer well within the grace period and a company files for transfer

1. Am I considered to be in H4 pending or H1B at the time of filing the new H1B?
2. Can a company file for COE instead of COS and ask USCIS to withdraw the H4?
3. Are people receiving NTA’s like earlier if previous company revokes H1B in grace period but you delay filing H4 to the last two weeks of the grace period?

Please, any advice is appreciated.

Have an upcoming apple phone screen (not new grad) with the hiring manager. Recruiter just mentioned dsa and distributed systems. What exactly should I expect? Facing a layoff situation, transitioning from H1B to H4 at the end of this month. My husband’s passport is expiring in March 2027 and is up for renewal. Considering the long approval window for H4, what should the passport renewal timeline ideally be?

1. Apply for passport renewal with Tatkal, submit h4 after this (can be in the first two weeks of my grace period)
2. Apply for H4 with his old passport when he sends his passport for renewal later will this cause any RFE or not really?
3. Apply for both simultaneously, submit passport renewal receipt as proof.

Additionally will my I94 (valid till 2028) be shortened if I apply with his old passport (his I94 is valid till 2028) ? My personal immigration attorney is unavailable and hasn’t responded yet. Would love to know if anyone has gone through this🙏
