Long story short, my partner found out that his best friend had been arrested a few days ago but due to him being homeless, he has been unable to get bail. The other addresses he has tried to give have been denied as they are too close to the area where the offence has been committed. My partner has offered up my address but I live in temporary accommodation provided by the council with my two children.
I would like to know what exactly it would mean if I agree to it?
the process, will they get in contact with the council , will he have stay here etc

I would like to say no but feeling a lot of pressure to say otherwise
