PLDT Plan 2499 Speed
Hi! To those who subscribed/upgraded to PLDT Fiber Unli All Plan 2499 (with Cignal and Netflix inclusion) particularly last year, what is your internet speed (or at least yung up to)?
Asking because we used to get up to 700mbps. Then last month we availed the speed add-on of up to 1Gbps for addl 500/month. Tinry lang, and when we noticed na parang wala namang significant speed boost, I had it removed this week. But when I did a speed test, 500 mbps na lang kami. And upon checking sa myHome account, 500 mbps na nga lang talaga.
When I called 171 (had to talk to multiple agents - one of whom was super rude), a supervisor explained that the 700mbps speed was just a promotional boost good for 6 mos, and that the base speed for the said plan is really 500mbps. I told him na aware ako dun, but alam ko din na late last year PLDT had that as a permanent boost for existing customers. And indeed, when I searched it up, there's info saying the same thing. When I told him that, he said that it's not the case, and we had just continued to enjoy the 700mbps speed (beyond the 6mo promo duration) dahil their system failed to detect it daw so they had to do the downgrade manually when I called to remove the add-on earlier. Di na ko nakipag-argue kasi we just started going back and forth. Drained na din ako by that time dahil nga sa dami na ng nakausap ko, not to mention the usual long queues.
Now I'm aware that PLDT changes their plan speeds and inclusions every now and then, so forget what their website currently offers. I want to know, namali lang ba ko ng alala regarding sa plan offer last year at sa permanent boost?
Kung hindi, ano pa pwede kong gawin kung ini-insist ng CS na 500mbps naman talaga and won't change it back to the original speed prior to the 1Gbps add-on? TIA
