What form cues/adjustments have been a game changer for you?
I’m sure this has been asked here before -
30M and over 350 classes in with lagree. It’s been amazing. I go 3-5x/week and lift 4-5x/week. Have developed so much strength in my core and glutes, have more awareness of mind to muscle connection than ever before, and it’s been super complementary to muscular endurance for lifting.
One of my favorite things about lagree are the cues, adjustments, and analogies instructors give to really dial in your form when doing certain moves. Some instructors get so creative with these! Crazy how one small pointer or adjustment can create so much more intensity and lead to muscle burnout/fatigue so much faster.
I’d love to know what you’ve heard in a class that’s been a game changer for you, what move it was, etc.
A couple of mine - these are pretty basic but I think about them almost every time:
- staying heavy in your heels to recruit more hamstring and glute strength in a lot of leg moves. I’m super quad dominant so this was big
- imagining headlights on your hips to keep them squared off
- thinking of taking an ice cream scoop out of your core to really hold and activate the deep core
- riding a horse or zipping a ziplock bag up with your inner thighs to recruit inner thigh engagement
- dragging your heel through mud when doing some lunges to light up your glutes/backline of the leg
- recruiting your opposite oblique when doing a runner’s lunge to keep your hips level
- tucking your tail by imagining you’re holding a tennis ball with your buttcheeks (lol) in wheelbarrow
Would love to hear more!
