Upper torso muscles

Upper torso muscles

Ignore the text. Anyway, the larger drawing is what I drew from memory. How do the muscles look? Also, is the breast placement correct? Do they look like actual boobs and not balloons? Cus I’m having one of those days where this stuff is becoming frustrating and I just don’t feel like looking for mistakes.

A few Eye practice drawings

How do these look? Found a new method to help with drawing the eyes and drew a few to see how much it helps and ngl, they look a lot better than how I drew eyes before. Obviously, there are certain angles that I still have trouble with (bottom row) but with more practice, I’m sure I’ll get better.

Head and figure study

A head and figure study I did today. I think these came out pretty good! Also, sorry for the lack of any shadows, shading, and all that. I haven’t learned how to do those yet so I didn’t bother doing them.

The head was difficult due to the fact that her jaw was open and that made it difficult to figure out the proportions. Also, I can easily tell that I didn’t make the jaw as wide as the one shown in the ref.

The figure drawing was pretty easy however, I’m pretty sure I got the perspective wrong. Also, I know this might sound like a silly question, but how do yall draw faces on a figure thats standing at a distance? Do yall just zoom in on the head and draw the eyes, nose, and mouth despite the pixelated quality? Or is there another way?

Anyway, please let me know of any mistakes I made!

Full body drawing

Just started drawing bodies with facial features now. Just did these two today. I’m gonna use references from both real life and from artists that I like. So far, the hardest part is drawing the face on a smaller head instead of drawing them up close. It makes getting the proportions down harder. Anyway, how do these look?

Studying heads

I’ve been tracing and breaking down heads for a bit. The first two slides are the traced drawings. I traced both real life references and art pieces with styles that I liked. The last slide are two drawings I did freehanded. I kinda like the bottom one but honestly, I don’t like how either turned out. Especially the top head. That looks terrible…I’ll probably keep tracing and breakdown heads for a few more days and try freehanding it again after. What do yall think? Heads have been really frustrating for me

Heads

For the past few days, I’ve been tracing and breaking down heads from both real life references and art references with styles I liked. Today, I did a couple freehanded drawings (last slide) and…I think Im gonna spend another week tracing and breaking down more heads 😅 The top head looks bad but the bottom head looks better BUT they both have this look to them that I just don’t like…idk how to describe the look but they just look weird. Also, I feel like there’s something off with the bottom head but I just can’t figure out what it is.

Heads

Seriously, how do yall draw heads? 😭 I’ve been drawing heads nonstop this past week and they all look like absolute garbage. I’ve tried using the loomis method and the heads just came out looking like dengue babies and when I do actually draw a decent looking head, the facial features just come out terrible. I’ve tried using other methods from different YouTubers but things still look bad. I’ve tried tracing, which usually helps me tremendously, but that unfortunately didn’t work. Honestly, despite the little enjoyment I have from drawing heads, I’m just gonna keep drawing heads over and over until I can frequently draw decent looking heads. It’s crazy how i find drawing bodies to be easier than this 💀

Some sketches I drew today

How do these look? I’m still learning how to draw muscles properly so I’m sure they look off 😅

Some studies and sketches I did this week

How do these look? I feel like I’m improving when it comes to drawing muscles. I’m having a hard time drawing the head tho 💀. matter what method I use, the head always comes out weird looking. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll improve within the next few days.

Some random sketches

Got really frustrated after trying to draw a male figure so I decided I’d take a week off from doing any kind of art studying. All of these sketches are drawings I did this week. I don’t like how some of these look but I really do like how the fifth sketch came out. I honestly should start drawing more of those lol. Anyway, this upcoming week, I’ll get back to studying again and will start on adding the muscles and faces and all that stuff. Then, I’ll go back to this drawing exercise i was doing where I had to draw a reference in 5 different angles.

Basic male mannequin construction

After drawing and studying the female body for a bit, I began doing the same with the male body this week. Unfortunately, this week, I felt like my motivation to draw was waning. Perhaps it has something to do with how long I draw every day (4 hours) but idk.

Anyway, I’m still doing this exercise where I trace the reference (labeled T) and then draw a freehand copy of that traced copy. I noticed I drew some snatched waists on some of them. Tried fixing them but I kinda like them better that way ngl…also, the angle on the second slide is driving me nuts. Every time I draw in that particular angle, the drawing just looks off. I’ve tried so hard to fix the issue but nothing 🫩. Idk what it is but if y’all can find out what’s making it look weird, that would be really appreciated! The last slide are some drawings I did for fun. Well some of them were lol

Female body construction

After going through an art roadblock, I realized that forcing myself to draw realistic proportions when i wanted to draw stylized proportions was messing me up big time. So I said screw it and decided to go all in drawing stylized proportions. After all, as long as I have a good understanding with where body parts go, I should be good.

Anyway, the first slide contains a basic female figure with a box for the chest and a uhhh shape for the pelvis (idk the name of the shape lol). The fourth slide contains a traced drawing (labeled T) and a freehanded drawing next to it. The last slide contains drawings from imagination. The rest of the slides are some studies and drawings I did. I’m focusing on female bodies for a few days then I’ll switch to male bodies!

Taking a shot at exaggeration

As the title says: I tried taking a shot at exaggerating anatomy for fun and I think it turned out better than i expected. I think the bottom half of the body is a little too big but other than that, i like how this turned out. I used marvel rival’s version of Emma frost as reference. Also, I apologize if it looks messy, my iPad was running extremely low on battery so I had to finish this up quick

How do these look?

I’m taking a break from doing that 1 ref and 5 angles drawing exercise that I was doing. I had some sort of art crash yesterday and everything I was drawing looked like garbage, even simple circles and squares. Probably needed a break since I’ve been studying 3hrs a day. Anyway, how do these basic figures look? If there are any mistakes, let me know cus I barely have the energy to look for them rn 😅

Day 2 of doing a drawing exercise where I use one reference and draw it in 5 different angles! Tried doing more perspective angles and they still turn out bad lol. Gonna keep doing them until I get them right eventually. I really like how the first slide turned out but the second slide, not so much. How did I do?

u/No-Mathematician2601 — 5 months ago

Just started doing this exercise that I saw on yt where I grab a reference and draw that reference in 5 different angles. This is what I’ve done so far. I’m doing easy angles for now but I’ll ease my way in to more complex angles. Also, I know for a fact that the 5th drawings on both have a lot of mistakes. Drawing a human body in perspective is not easy lol

Deleted the last post I made like half an hour ago cus I didn’t show the diagram. Anyway, my aircraft moves backwards when hovering as shown in the video. How can I fix this? Im also using Aeroworks addon and a recently released propulsion addon.
