The truth behind recent Meetup controversy (unofficial)

To everyone who has read the recent post about our first meetup, I'd like to clarify a few things from the organizer's perspective...

Our meetup was a success. Everyone who attended was a complete stranger to each other. We spent time talking, getting to know each other and discussing our future plans. Our vision has always been simple, to build a community that discusses local issues, raises awareness and contributes positively to Prayagraj.

Regarding the allegations of homophobia... I tell you honestly, No one was judged or excluded because of their sexual orientation. We have no issue with LGBTQ+ individuals and many of us have friends and colleagues from the community during our college days as well. A person's identity has never been a criterion for joining our meetups but you have to respect other personal boundaries as well.

At one point, I asked him why he hadn't come on a scooty or bike. He replied that he didn't know how to ride a scooty and ADDED that he "wanted to ride something else." It wasn't the only time he made these types of comments, after the meetup when we were heading to have cold coffee he touched my friend inappropriately and tried to elope him and then he confronted him harshly. So my point is that, No one's identity gives them the right to make sexually suggestive remarks, invade another person's personal space or touch someone without their consent and now he's just playing "Victim Card".

A screenshot of my message was also shared without its full context. I clearly said he was welcome at future meetups but my only expectation was that everyone respect others' comfort and personal boundaries. After that, I was blocked, leaving me unable to respond or share my perspective until now.

I repeat, Our agenda is simple... to raise awareness, discuss and address issues affecting our city, become a constructive forum where people can speak up, organize meaningful social initiatives, along with fun meetups and engaging activities that help people connect and build genuine friendships. Anyone who shares this vision, participates with good intentions, and respects others is always welcome to be a part of our community.

I urge everyone to read both sides before making any opinion. Please don't judge based on just one post or a few screenshots. If you still have any questions or want to know my side further, feel free to DM me. I'll be happy to answer, and I won't block anyone like others.

I'll let the judgement to you and get back to what we started this community for.

Our First Meetup Was a Succes and This Is Just the Beginning

Today wasn't just another meetup, it was the start of something.

People from different backgrounds came together, met strangers who quickly became friends, shared ideas, laughed, debated and discovered one thing in common, the desire to make our city better, together.

We discussed how we can raise our voices for issues that matter, contribute positively to our beautiful town and build a community that believes in action, not just discussion.

Some genuinely fresh and crazy meetup ideas came up too.... fun activities, collaborative projects, unique social experiments, intellectual discussions, city walks, volunteering and much more. This is only the beginning, and the possibilities are endless.

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up today. You made this meetup special.

If you couldn't make it this time, don't worry. We'd love to have you at the next one. The more diverse our community becomes, the stronger our ideas, friendships and impact will be.

Let's grow together, learn together and create something meaningful for our city.

It's our time. ❤️

My friends think Reddit is only for ugly, shy, introverted people who hide behind anonymous accounts. What would you say to them?

A few of my friends genuinely believe Reddit is only for people who are ugly, socially awkward, introverted, or too scared to show their faces online.

I tried explaining that Reddit is just a discussion platform where anonymity lets people focus on ideas instead of followers or appearance, but they keep making fun of it.

What would you say to someone who thinks this way? Is there a good way to explain why millions of people, including professionals, developers, researchers and even celebrities, use Reddit?

What should I say to him? Your thoughts

Looking for a UPSC Study Partner

I'm currently preparing for UPSC. I recently finished Geography and I'm moving on to the next subjects. Studying alone can get a bit monotonous, so I'm looking for a dedicated study partner who's equally serious about the exam.

I'd prefer a female study partner around my age, mainly because I generally find conversations more comfortable and motivating that way. The goal is purely keeping each other accountable, discussing concepts, sharing resources, solving doubts and staying consistent.

If you're someone who's committed to UPSC prep and wants to grow together, feel free to DM me. Even if our optional subjects are different, that's completely fine as long as we're both disciplined and motivated.

Let's help each other stay consistent.

Is the FWB culture in Prayagraj real or just a myth?

I've been wondering about this for a while.

People often say that FWB (friends with benefits) isn't really a thing in cities like Prayagraj because it's more conservative.

On the other hand, I've seen a few posts and heard stories that make it seem like it does exist.

For those who actually live in Prayagraj or have experience with the dating scene here, what's the reality?

Is FWB genuinely a thing here, or is it mostly an internet myth? How common is it compared to regular dating?

Just looking for honest opinions and experiences, no judgment. You can dm your opinion as well.
