Disney Channel changed and I’m so sad about it
The older I get the more and more disappointed I feel with how Disney has progressed. I I’m always hit on social media with the most nostalgic old Disney shows I used to be obsessed with. And just now I was reminded of my babysitter’s a vampire. Which if you know this show, you absolutely know ball. It made me think about the kind of shows the Disney house now there was a time when Disney felt like it made family content. Like not only could I watch this as a child but also a teenager would be watching it as well and a grown ass adult would be watching as well and still be stimulated by what’s going on the screen and still be interested in what the show has to say. I used to have my mom watching Disney Channel with me and my grandmother watching Disney Channel with me. It was just good. But the stuff on Disney now just honestly feels like this is for kids like this is targeted towards children and I know that maybe they just changed their target audience or perhaps I’ve just grown out of it and I just don’t see the world with rose colored glasses like I did when I was a kid which is also disappointing. I think my babysitter is a vampire. Is the only Disney show where they actively had like gore and actually killed people which was so different for Disney. I also realize that perhaps that’s the reason it’s not on Disney+. It makes me think about how TV show shows and media has become so much softer. I didn’t think that I would be one of those adults who would say oh this generation is so soft when I grew up as Gen Z. I don’t know I mean, I’m only 21 but I wish I could go back to when I was a kid and when Disney was good.
I miss shows and movies that were just simple and I don’t Disney Channel but Disney XD like I miss shows like Zeke and Luther or pair of kings
