Contaminated kombucha with water kefir, how to proceed?

As the title says, my kombucha is probably contaminated with water kefir. The pellicle looks kind of weird, like it’s growing little strings from the bottom. I still have some starter in a different jar, so I’m can just start over, but I’m wondering if I could just proceed with this one and see what happens.
Something similar is happening to my kefir, it seems to grow a pellicle on top.

Would you still drink this? How should I proceed?

Sugar level in F1 isn’t dropping

I’m new in making kombucha, not in fermentation, and currently trying to make the first batch with a scoby that I got from someone.

I think I did everything right: used a 12% sugar level to start with, more then 10% old liquid + scoby. It’s been on the shelf for over 2 weeks now and a new scoby has formed on top, but I’ve tested it regularly and the sugar level just remains constant. The taste changes, but it’s still very sweet. I’ve checked the examples of mold in this sub and I think the scoby looks healthy.

What do I do? Start over? Temperatures are rising here now finally, so that might help, but does it make sense to just wait longer and hope for the best?
